Me too. Any forum warrior is on my list, I been trying to keep a separate folder of screenies for that. And yes, I have my dbag hit list, too. Oddly few Tryhards are on the list. I've killed and been killed by pretty much all of them (and probably half the player based in general) after 3+ years and 22000+ matches, it's kind of a big whoop.

But to nail 627 or MeeSoHaityoo's hide to my trophy wall. Fun to rub in, etc.

Try some Bellhaven Scottish Ale, Chimay Blue, Warsteiner Dunkel, Newcastle on tap, etc. All of Emergencias WRECK any canuck maple juice.

In the USA?. Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, Goose Island's Sophie, almost anything by Magic Hat (although all three have been bought out by the Big Swill producers) or anything by Rogue, etc.



I've done a few UK craft beers when I was there last, they were good... but I was talking about my local breweries... like Vancouver Island Brewery, Granville Island brewery and several others.... To hell with Moslan Canadain / Labat Blue, that stuff is swill just like Budwizer/MGD/Cooers/Whateverothernamebrandcrap.

I don't think I've ever been on the other side of a match, Bishop, only once was I ever on your side....

Be interesting if a bounty could appreciate. Once it is placed on a player that every match he survives could cause the payout to go up. Obviously it would need capped so it wasn't out of control but it would add incentive to chase bounties.

If you ask me how a bounty system could work without being overly abusable? Let's see.

Every player has 3 bounty slots.
Per slot you can assign one bounty of up to 25k cbills given to whoever kills the target, provided the killer is not in the same unit. It must also be either a CW or a Pub/Group game and awarded only once.
Each bounty slot must be a different target.
Whenever a bounty is awarded, the slot enters a cooldown phase of [24h] in which it cannot be assigned for a new bounty. Furthermore, you cannot assign the same target another bounty on another slot either until cooldown.
A target of multiple bounties will, upon death, only award the OLDEST bounty. So if a player has 3 bounties to his name, he needs to die 3 times to award all of them, in chronological order.
The bounty, to be awardable, must be in place before the match starts.
The bounty, when revoked by the issuer, enters a cooldown phase of [1h].
Setting a bounty incurs a fee of [10k cb].


There's probably more corner cases that need looking at but that's probably a good core to work from.

Maybe also place a limit on bounties, per say, you can only collect 10 bounties a day, and there'd be a timer in the mechlab on when the reset is.

I ain't no filthy clanner. You got a lot more too Fraser if you see my Hunchback or Centurion on the other side, then me I some Fatty. Back before they sucked all the fun from Victors, maybe, and I haven't got a chance to run the new improved Executioner, but I don't do fat and slow.

TBRN just completed its first Cutthroat Cup Season complete with bribery and bounties. It was a blast! We had a Solaris style battle at the end of the Cup, where I contracted with one of our top guns to pay him a bounty if he killed two of our other top guns before I died. I then contacted the other Top Guns and offered them the same contract. They wound up shooting each other to doll rags and all got killed by pilots with whom I had not contracted.

All that to say, this Pirate heartily approve of bounties! Yarr!

Agreed
Have it maybe increase a small % per day that the player survives and add in part of an escrow fee. It would be interesting to see how the "most wanted" players become. I think it would be fun and add a little community involvement overall nad just help build that community a bit.

I like this idea also. It prevents this from becoming the "goal" of the game. Limit the number of bounties a player can collect per day.

This way, people aren't earning a easy 50 million in 10 matches because one another units coordinate or groups to exploit.

I'd almost go one step further, and make having the bounty hunter mech a requirement.... ;p

I think group queue would be the environment to really make this fun. Like a unit doing their damnedest to protect the bounty. I like the idea of being notified a bounty is on the other side also. However they do that would be fine whether it be an icon in scoreboard screen or on the HUD when a bounty was targeted.

It would also be good to be able to collect bounties of a rival house or faction. Kind of like a daily quest or something where you can kill 10 Kurita mechs to get X amount of CB.

Hey, that gives me a great idea...

Maybe add in bonuses for using hero mercenary mechs, or mechs used in mercenary generally, an extra, hmm, 15-20%?

I'd say you could even keep it out of the group queue.

I think not!
If going after a bounty solo is good enough for the main man, then it's good enough for me. :P lol

I agree that there needs to be some caps in place to help prevent gaming the system.

Now that's an awesome idea also!!

Add a bounty system into CW that's faction based. Could also be integrated into merc contracts. There's a LOT that could be done with that.
