1. By never stopping to play, but I do not see this happening.
2. This question makes no sense. No, no MWO game has been around that long, because the only MWO game is MWO, and this one is around now how long? 4 years?
If you meant a MechWarrior game, also no, BattleTech:The Crescent Hawk's Inception has been released in 1988, 28 years ago. Not only is that much shorter than from 2016 to 2061(45 years), but I honestly do not know if anyone is still playing this. But this is also not the exact MechWarrior game. The first MechWarrior game was released a year later in 1989, and I can confirm I have been playing it just a few weeks ago, so this would be 27 years. Still a long way from 45 though. So I guess the correct answer to your question is no. Fun fact, one of the earliest computer games, Pong, has been released in 1972, which would mean it has been around for 44 years, and some are probably still playing it from time to time.
3. I would guess it would include a lot of rewrites of the game to keep it going for 45 years.
4. Please no. Let someone else give a crack at it, not that MWO is completely bad, even if it was the best MW game ever, I would still like to see what others could have done with the universe. And there is really no chance to keep the exact same computer game in use for so long, at least not in serious use. I just hope MWO will get a story mode, so I can re-install it 20 years from now, and have a good time remembering the times when I was younger.
5. Look at number four.
