Let's get the Mist Lynx:

Unlocked CAP
+10% Energy Range
-10% Energy Duration
10% faster Energy cooldown
MOAR Arm durability

And then see where it sits. There is no WAY it would rise to OP with that...

I'd go 20% duration and -CAP...

Mr Mando could also use help.

We can go more on the duration, but I want the range. I want to be able to fly around poking people with ER MLs again. I miss it.

Yeah, I like having CAP, but I think it needs to be removable (that one ton can go a looong way). I was playing Commandos and Mist Lynx the last week or so, and rarely did I make it 5 minutes into the match without dropping one or both arms.

Give them both some decent structure buff to keep their weapons around longer. Another option would be to make a PGI Mist Lynx variant (non-canon) with a torso/head hardpoint omnipod.

+5 RA Hitpoints

"I just wish the Kit Fox energy weapon geometry was much, much bigger! Light mechs should have giant laser cubes, like the Mist Lynx!"

on top of much better missle and ballistic quirks and yes they should shrink the laser and ballistic hardpoints down so you can fit 2 on one section of a arm instead of 1 for each section.

I'll take a speed boost as well. There is no reason for a tiny, wet cardboard mech like that to be going so slow. If it did like 160 there would actually be a reason to take it over the AC....which does everything better.

Why do you troll me Gas?

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

It doesn't need a range buff of any sort. What it sorely needs is less facetime (less duration) and more arm protection (look ma, no arms is a theme).

I still wouldn't run this disaster anyways. A Panther seems like a better bet with its crippled options... and that's before we talk about Badders.

I agree the Mist Lynx needs some help. I struggle to break 300 in an MLX. The arms are too big making them weak, the CAP is next to useless on the chassis and the JJ turn you into ***** whenever you jump.

Pumping up the arm structure/fixing the weapon geometry and unlocking the JJ and CAP would go a long way to make the little guy much better.

The Commando I'm unsure about as I tend to do quite well in them.

100% energy cool down
100% missile cool down
50% speed boost.

Make it so pgi. Shouldn't be too much :D

You guys are just wasting your breath; the Mist Kitten can't be saved, no matter how good its quirks.

That isn't close to true.

Paul simply hasn't overquirked it yet.

MLX-P (25 tons, new variant)
[spoiler]
The MLX-P is not a "Piranha" variant, is it an actual lore variant. (source1 and source2). The sad part is that it mounts micro lasers and micro pulse lasers, which are all out of timeline. But the good news is, it's a "P" variant, so PGI can do whatever they want with it! Yay! Here's the stock loadout of this 3061 variant of the Mist Lynx, just to be explicitly clear:

Posted Image

Now, if we pare all the micro lasers down to ER smalls, and shrink that ERLL down to a simple ERML, we have a few tons left over. Throw in a pair of heatsinks and voilà, we have a "Piranha" stock variant. But more importantly, EIGHT ENERGY HARDPOINTS! =D

Blah blah, I know, it's still a Mist Lynx, but still. Let's say that PGI unlocked the cAP in the head, and then gives it 10 TrueDubs (instead of the 7 that it currently is stuck with)... we can now do some much more interested things with this little hunk of metal.

Mist Lynx needs some omni pod work. All your hardpoints in your arms is just bad.

I do quite well on the mist. The b version especially. For me, it is better than an AC. I use 2 SL, 1 SPL and 2 SRM 4. Usually break 300 dmg with it and managed 555 dmg in a game. It is slower but a lot nimbler than an AC and it manages heat better (as in, doesn't overheat) plus it packs a 32 point alpha and has srm cooldown perks. Very good dps and I do really well in it. If cap was removable, I would go 3 spl.
