YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
It doesn't need a range buff of any sort. What it sorely needs is less facetime (less duration) and more arm protection (look ma, no arms is a theme).
I still wouldn't run this disaster anyways. A Panther seems like a better bet with its crippled options... and that's before we talk about Badders.
99% of the player base cannot hit a light mech in the air if it is further than 500m away without aimbot or a zoom module, or both. So facetime doesn't matter, you just need that extra range.

Being really fast is also usually in the job description for 20-25 ton 'Mechs.
The Mist Lynx is neither fast nor durable. It's also lacking in firepower.
Being small is the only thing it has going for it, but in the absence of speed or durability...no help.

Range is not an issue, and we'll get an "Mist Lynx is OP from long range" post following that.
Let's not give people dumb reasons to post.

THE MIST LYNX ARMS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BIG

Might need some more arm durability, but this is a major issue and has been. Massive Energy boxes for no reason...the missile boxes make sense and are on par (slightly smaller even it looks like) than the kitfox but the laser boxes are HUGE.

I recently begun with a Mist Lynx. Had some hard and some good times with the C-variant, while still learning and playing the B-chassis actually. Up to 550 + damage, 2 - 3 kills was my best score, the lowest... hmm... i better don't tell...
Anyway, it's big fun as well as a challenge to play that tiny Rocketeer! It's shortcomings define it as the very best toy for such tryhard masochists like me, hahaha. To be honest, i think it's not very challenging to play a Dire Whale - just for comparison... Getting several kills, comp destructions, and a at least half a dozen of assists in that rock-like mech is not an art, imho. In a Mist Lynx - it definitely is! However, i agree, it really needs some improvements to make it viable.
So i vote for:
- slight energy box reduction
- CAP unlocked
- enhanced CAP range
- further slightly structure buffs for both arms
- repositioning of the ECM into the left ST (most important imho)
- repositioning of the AMS into the right ST
- JJs unlocked
- stock speed of (at least) 129 KpH (there's no reason why a 25 ton mech should have a slower speed, than the 35 ton Arctic Cheetah)
- outstanding NARC buff regarding projectile speed and duration like the Raven 3L has, thus making it a viable stealth spotter (not so important, but it would give the MLX a niche it doesn't have over better choices)
- another (stock) mechmodule slot, because snipers without adv. zoom are useless, while assassins/spotters without seismic sensors are... umm... dead beyond the next corner
regards, RED KATIPO
The Itzy-Bitzy Spider laid a little trap - than one stepped in, and clapped the trap, rendering him dead...

If you see a mech's strength as a weakness perhaps you shouldn't play it in the first place. Me I use the jump jets a lot and that makes me harder to hit, of course I do not hover over an entire lance at 500 meter presenting an slow and predictable target, I get a jump on them, often over and past them and discharge my weapons while they can't pitch up fast and/or high enough to even try to fire at me.
