What is LP decay?
Also, I am not in favor of 3rd person view in actual combat, however I am in favor of it being viable on the testing grounds.

Will factions be able to have training run drops? In house trade and storage? C-Bill pool? Faction specific upgrades, bonus, penalties, etc etc?

I think LP are loyalty points which determine the bonuses you get from your faction. If you stop playing, they go down and so do your bonuses. Essentially it is your pay for the "work" you do for your faction. I think I read that it will affect your rank in the faction, but your rank won't drop if you let LP decay...just the bonuses you receive.

I don't know about the other stuff except that there was talk about faction specific weapon variants, I think, as well as the bonuses for rank and/or LP are in.

This is the only issue that should be griped about at the moment.

Nothing else matters, everything else is relatively fine... without CW PGI is really just messing with our hearts and emotions.

Please stop.

I imagine CW is going to take some massive infrastructure. Take another hiatus and come back this time next year.

CW inst just like a click on the button magic
there is tons of coding. and they dont release it until its playable and then they gonna watch and seek for improvements

You haven't been on a gaming forum before have you?! ;) They're pretty much all like this with varying levels of naked hostility, lack of manners or respect, rants and perpetual QQ and rage-quitting. It's something to do with the target demographic (14-25 year old males who don't get out enough - too harsh?) :)

I'm pretty sure PGI/Piranah is working to a schedule. (You are, aren't you?) CW implementation would, at a guess, be at the end of a long line up of game engine fixes, balances, extra features, fine tuning and once there's enough assets in place.

People expect so much because so much was promised.

One thing to remember is that 15 years ago 3025 was what planetary warfare hit it on the mark. Even if you go up in the morning on the way to work, you looked at the map to see how your house was doing. I was by no means alone but one of many thousands. If anyone would say that that is asking to much with all the advances in programming and graphics then they never played or understood 3025. It will make them so much money. I am sure they will find a place to put it. Many who have not played this game because they will not play a MechWarrior game that is no more than MW4 which could be called shoot and scoot nothing more. They will join by the thousands if their is an object to this game like 3025. I remember when people said that you could not make a 1 gig chip. If you are old enough to remember then you can not help but agree with me. It should be even grander.

Yes I'm old enough to remember MPBT 3025 i'm not super old but i not super young neither my first computer was a Macintosh Performa in 1994 or around that time had like 3MB of ram and a 300mb HD or was it 500mb what ever it was it was small compared to today's standards also watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when it first aired also remembered watching a few episodes of Battletech cartoon that was canceled after 13 some odd episodes....

Faction Players

As a Faction Player, loyalty points are earned by playing and winning matches. As the player accumulates loyalty points, they will gain a military faction rank at pre-determined loyalty point totals. If a player loses LPs by decay or negative actions, they will be demoted.

Gaining ranks earns special privileges and items, including membership to special units, unit skins, and bonuses to C-Bills and XP. These are all non-permanent and subject to the player maintaining a certain rank level. At the highest possible levels, players can begin to influence their faction by controlling which planets are targeted in territory conquest.

Mercenary Corp Players

As a Mercenary Corporation, all members’ earned loyalty points go to the Merc Corp. The Merc Corp must have a minimum amount of loyalty points with a faction before they are able to engage in planetary combat on behalf of that faction. Loyalty points also determine the type and level of contract a Merc Corp is permitted to bid on. These loyalty point restrictions mean that a Merc Corp’s membership, must remain active in order to maintain the required level of LPs.

Ranks are created within a Merc Corp by the Merc Corp leader. The naming of the ranks is entirely up to the Merc Corp leader who can assign Merc Corp level permissions to each rank.

Lone Wolf Players

As a lone wolf, the player can earn loyalty points through participation in random matches, however these LPs have no positive or negative implications. A lone wolf player does not have any ranks.

So LP provides:
- non-permanent bonuses to Faction Players.
- ability for Merc Corps to bid on contracts and fight for sides.
- nothing for Lone Wolves.
Correct?

you guy's epect to much. think realistic
nobody in the world can setup a game that fast

what most company's do in a 5 year's
her we see live build up of the game

Thinking CW would be online NOW
is really lame to believe from day one we would get this
Hench remember all that they had to have heavy discussion to even think if they would start this or not
and we firts had the Unreal engine , and now Crytek
doing that isnt like changing the spark plug of your car that will run the next day

sure PGI said alot and some where gutsy to tell
and i can place my self in a situation that some are disapointed by it

but in fact you have to thank it to your self for not seeing the big picture here
and trusting the words to much and hook some wild expectations to it.

but gees look at MWO and the plans as it is now its Great. sure it doent offer much for gameplay
with just assault and conquest
but its BETA people..
Everything we got is not 100% Correct , and they are working on that
Everything that is one it's way is not 100% certain either
and take carefull planning to do it right
what we are actually playing is just the basic's and whe are the test pilots to see how that goes along
and they need feedback that is importend to them. not ony our sake

whe should be thank full that its not some
Denvelopers game that we have **** to say about
We can play
We can earn Cbills
We can collect items
We can buy en equip mechs
We can unlock extras
We can learn the game

but the world wasn't build in one day also xD

i Really dont get this , but i understand the world
we all want things to damn quick.

CW will come.. and i expected ther would be delay's fromday one WHY
Menu contol doest allow it and heck i was right UI2.0 is comming!
how large is the IS

the whole planing to have battle's of none important Planet's
and important one's according to the BT lore/history
Hiring system and contracting
its not something they guys pull out of a rabbit hat
there is WORK to be done and lot's of it

and since so many her Whine and Cry about LRM This SRM that ,
omg they NERFED this and go freeking histerical by litterly spaming the heck out of PGI
(ever see Ask the dev's some really doent look what oters said and think is my quesion needed?)

Gues why CW doesnt gets as fast as "Everybody" Want's?
whe asking to much of them

Balance this
Balance that
Change that
Add this
when does this come

for us its like increasing a number from 4,5 to 5.0

for example a laser
* if people Whine about lacking range for instance and increase damage*
they think go from 670 meter's to 890 is easy
and from 4.5 to 5.0 damage
and done
WRONG

Animation has to be alterd
Duration taken account with
effects live.
the little bar on the menu for weapon status
since they alterd is does the code still functions fine in EVERY possible situation during a game session
before you know it where 3 weeks furter

Just by asking to increase Range and damage.....
and we do this with hunderts of items and countless variants

for them it's like hunderd of coding lines
hours/day's of testing
headache giving .debugging
Prepping a patch package
turn the servers off.
Warm people in front it that by email (few hunderds of thousends?)

every move you make has countless effects that goes along with it

if you ask me they can shut down the forum's
let them build how it should be for another 2 years
open a poll once a while
and do what they do best, since they dont have the time to make Every body wishe's come true
and THEN show us what they got and ask feed back

and if people Having trouble with what i say..
Find me during a game and fight it out with me!

Gees i forsee a time MechWarriorOnline becomes MechWarrior Whine.
becouse so many Ex Cod players an newby's dont under stant how mechwarrior was and should be
and want it easy otherwise *it aint not Fun* wel develop some skills and take your time learn somthing
it's a Arcade annex Simulator.

with a Balance of both let PGI figure out HOW okay

singing of Gonna enjoy this game as it is NOW! :)

Let me answer this with an other quote:

And well, Ballentimes is also right:

Private matches would make the waiting time much more interesting, as it would allow custom leagues to provide motivation until CW and later on next to CW.
Who says, if you play in a community run league, you cannot play in CW?

But somehow PGI seems to feel under pressure by community based projects, that would grow with a (real) lobby.

I don't now which of two possible visions scares me more:

1. PGI fears some community based leagues could trouble their nice upcoming CW.
or
2.That they might not be able ( in a sense of competence and /or infrastructure ) to provide the tools for some tiny private matches....
