I know other people wrote where it is. But sometimes I find a picture to be helpful too.
A bit cluttered but Terra is the big star at the top.

I think controlled isnt the right word, if anything it seems, at least on first reading that you, the player, are in control of your own LPs.
I can say for a fact i won't be playing everyday(might be a lie...18 month olds can feed themselves right?)
But by participating you gain rewards, as was said very early on, i just hope that by missing a few days or weeks here and there you won't be relegated to square one again.

I found it a great system that ensured that all kinds of mechs were used in the game instead of it just being assault slug matches.

Off the wall question. Will there be training needed to use, weapons, larger mechs? again like AA3. if you dont pass the training you cant use it. or at a major penalty. just a though.
I'm happy to see this happening. Godspeed

Also, as this question is not COMMUNITY WARFARE related, I'll give it a go here.
Any impending update on the relationship between PGI and IGP?

Unless I'm missing something, this sounds dreadful to me. If I am reading this correctly, this says that, unless I have enough points from faction members coming to join my Merc Corps, I will not be able to work for any other Houses than the one I came out of. If this is, indeed, true, then it's pretty short-sighted, IMHO. Please, someone tell me this is not true? Or, help me understand what I'm missing in the description?
Well, Merc Corps are not exactly neutral usually, and it makes sense that it is that way in my opinion. As one of the Houses, I wouldn't hire a Merc Corp known to have done countless contracts for an enemy, I just wouldn't trust them.

Yes. Mostly true.
And did you have a specific question about IGP?

This statement demonstrates the spirit of what a loyalty point system achieves..

First, Mr. Ekman, allow me to thank you for your time, which I have no doubt is coming at more and more of a premium as the summer draws near.
Was IGP founded with MWO as it's foundational game?
Who are the founding directors?
Are you and any other members of the MWO team part of the core investors?
It only seemed fitting that a publisher be created in a "build to suit" fashion for this game, knowing the licensing maze that has been created around this great IP.
Have I mined too greedily?
