I would legitimately like to see it in MWO though, with no reason greater than people playing it stock.
Oooph...30 kph, and 2/3 max armor..... that don't bode well.
Mind you,with my love of AC10s, I want it...but......

I wonder how many Annihilators you could fit in a group queue 12-man composed entirely of Urbies and Annihilators? That would be a fun time. All stock, of course.

It narrows the 0XP down to things like oldschool AC/20 brawling super-Hunchback builds, really. It could have been OK with good hardpoint location or decent hardpoint numbers, but gets neither.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Tempest...I think it may be a better example of ECM's inability to polish turds.
I won't call it horrible, if only because it can do the basics for the LRM boat Archers were designed for. ALRM15 or ALRM10x2, NARC option for the CT, at least two energy hard points on top of that.

most being post the not quite ironclad, but still relatively solid 3053 date Russ is still building around. Or severely lacking in available variants (like the Gunslinger, which I would like to have, myself)
Only the Gunslinger is specifically out of timeline & Pgi could move it forward and not change anything in the game.
Per Catalyst game's master unit list, ComStar has both Nightstars & Pillagers pre invasion. http://www.masteruni...r---renaissance

(And yes, I am aware not every competitive player is against immersion, depth, infowar, etc. So if you aren't assume this is not referring to you and save us both some aggro)
What info war? The one where you dont get to know **** unless you R the enemy? It would be neat if Cyclop's systems and all matter of info tech played a factor into the PPD. This game really would be pretty awesome if mechs had a sort of aim time. If you didnt R the enemy, your guns just blankly fired forward. If you did R the enemy, your reticule would focus in on the enemy, but still be slightly inaccurate due to movement, if you stopped or slowed down, it increased accuracy. If you had a Cyclops or some other friendly Infotech mech targeting the mech using their advanced optics systems, you got an increased bonus to accuracy.
But lets just keep it PPFLD, cuz its so fun melting Atlas in 3 bursts.

Are you talking about that Atlas that was not available to the player in the campaign? That Atlas specially designed by the programmers for the final boss and breaking the construction rules of the game itself?
As for the Cyclops, there are about three variants with practically identical hardpoints (CP-10-Z/11-A/11-G). Those 'Mechs would be just a 10 tons lighter Atlases or 15 tons heavier Orions.
Then you have a "missile heavy" CP-10-Q with one missile hardpoint added, but with ballistic hardpoint deleted.
If Russ would be feeling especially generous, he could add CP-11-B with Gauss Rifles in the left and right torsos.
There are other variants, but they are equipped with technology and weapons not implemented in MWO, such as MRMs, C3 computers or RLs.
No Cyclops variant has ever had ECM or Jump Jets. If people want it, okay. But as it is, the 'Mech does not impress me.

And without ECM... It's pointless and just a wannabe Atlas/Mauler.
The only ECM equipped assault that's nearly in timeline in the Gunslinger. It has a production year of 3053 so it's technically as viable as the Mauler was.

I'm one of the insane people that would gladly, with a smile on my face, run a stock engine Annihilator. Also, if they were to remove the charging limit, we could have the Gausszilla as a hero mech.

Well, you already have the King Crab for practically all of Gunslinger's possible builds (KGC also has 4 high energy hardpoints that you are interested in). Admittedly, it's 15 tons heavier and shaped differently.
EDIT: the Gunslinger can mount less tonnage robbing Class II JJs.

Also, ECM, and not sure how many KGC jump and pack 7x E hardpoints. Just saying
