Do you tell the guy at the farmer's market that the corn he is selling isn't the sweetest corn there is as well?

Why bother with regional finals? Just give the top comp teams in league an equal share of that money now, since no other team will make it past the regional level.

Just for that, all comp teams need to bring lurms.

Everyone is the best, what company in their right mind would say "The most mediocre"?

When a place claims they have the BEST slice of pizza in town, do you take their word for it? Or go inside and ask to see the results from the latest nationwide pizza slice contest?

Its advertising, plain and simple. Same thing as a headline on the news papers, its often over sensationalized.

This was the starting point when the tournament was announced so which the following response was given:

Hey everyone! we are listening to constructive feedback and we are willing to adjust the gameplay rules!
I have personally spent hours talking with other league organizers to gather feedback on our gameplay rules, structure, maps and tonnage rules.
These things can and will be adjusted but I will gleefully skip past feedback that comes with a side serving vitriol.
I just don't need that kind of energy in my life right now (winky face)

Namaste.

After which the Mech tonnage rules and others were set to TBA,

...

This is really beyond unprofessional guys.
Did or did PGI not play the f ucking MRBC to get an idea how competitive gameplay in MWO looks like?
But what it looks like is they have drawn 0 (ZERO) conclusions from that.

This has been the MO pre and post-IGP.

Why are we surprised?

My unit leader just pulled one on me... said he signed us up already. I'll be honest, I threw up a little in my mouth. I am not that damn good.

Yes, best to advertise as the least skilled tournament ever......

But it's nice to see competitive players admit that the click a pixel, no hindrance, no immersion arcade shooter aiming they demand for MWO is not terribly skill dependant. Kudos, that.

$100,000.

Half that money should be put into a lottery that any player can enter. Make the leets make do with $50,000.

Anyone care to take bets that in the final each side will have at least 1 Arctic Cheetah, if not 2.
