I've certainly met plenty of great players here.

I really hope that MWO players are a cut above, but my experience has not been so good with competitive play elsewhere. People just get weird when cash is on the line.

10% boost, even with both XP and C-Bills for the next couple months...isn't worth it in my opinion.

Throw a special "loyalty" mech in the deal with a unique camo pattern, or make the XP/C-Bill boost to 20% then you've got me reaching for my credit card.

There is nothing there that I want or need but I still did it out of support to what PGI are doing and are planning to do. Right now there is no game out there which even comes close to the fun factor that I have here, War Thunder is a Russian pile of crap, WoT, well SerB say it all, no way in hell that that ape is ever going to get another cent off me, Armored Warfare is a huge disapointment after a strong start, and so my money goes here. Waiting for Camelot Unchained to come around.

Esports is a thing kids. Deal with it. You can cry, and bemoan it not being real or worthwhile all you want but the numbers alone disagree with you. It's only going to get more popular. People want to see skilled folks do skilled things, it's a story as old as time.

Having said that PGI hasn't impressed me with the organization of this event so far so I'll be taking a pass. I do like the idea of further funding with ingame rewards. It's a bonus prize pool from people who hopefully will be watching the matches and such.


Oh and for all those "Muh not real sport" types no esports player has beat his wife, murdered a friend or involved in illegal animal fighting. The same can't be said for many other more traditional sports. Get bent nerds.

nope. i think they are delusional about this whole e-sports thing taking off. im sure it will be a fun little event for those involved. the finals will be a nice little shindig for the top 1% of t1s out there. but that doesn't help me as an average mediocre player. and if i wanted that there are plenty of mech packs available, more valuable than a trinket with an ephemeral bonus that will disappear in time. the supporter items would need to be a lot more useful than that.

I decided to buy a tournament pack. Couldn't care less for tournaments or E-sports, but I've been very impressed so far with CW wave 3 so stick & carrot & all that.
