Oh, I'm not! People should support this to their heart's content. It was the phrase "to show that not everyone is too uptight to think about other players" I found to be silly. Seems like an odd reason to buy extra packs.

Ah. I figured why not, either a $20 pack giveaway or I could help two newer players with a little boost that applies across every mech. The feeling of generosity for its own sake is satisfying.

This will inflate the prize pool, bigger potential draw of more players, more players/interest means more exposure for the game, which can translate into more potential players and more revenue.

That's the goal of tournaments like these. Increase awareness, increase playerbase, increase revenue.


And not for nothing, it's 10% Cbill boost, 10% XP boost and a handful of swag items that right now costs like a $1.25 a month. (a tiny bit more)

As far as microtransactions go, that's a pretty good ratio.

I can't afford to piss money down the drain, so nope, not gonna contribute. And with that said, I'm back to my six day workweek. I don't stop 'til almost midnight! *cracks whip*

I gave up 10 bucks. I spent more on that for lunch and coffee. I consider that my purchase for the quarter that just passed. Now, if these are stackable on top of champion/hero/premium time, I'd be even happier.

Its automatically injected to your account. You will see the 10% boosts at the end of any game where you earn xp/cbills

For $10 in addition to the fluff, you get.. ..10% EXTRA XP AND C-BILLS FOR THE DURATION YOU OWN THE PACK, UP UNTIL DEC 2016.

I already bought it. I have the Kodiaks and the Viper coming plus other Mechs I need to Elite. The XP bonus will help with that but honestly I would have supported the tournaments anyway because I want the game to continue on for a while. While I am not a fan of the whole eSport over Mech Sim mentality, I do want this Mech game to continue to develop and I hope that PGI will see the wisdon in following their own path in eSports with a Solaris type tournament as opposed to making just another CoD, CS clone FPS.
