I did. The warhorn is my immediate favourite.
Oh, it's definitely awesome! It's not enough to make me spend $10, but it's awesome.

according to the prize pool thus far ($118,035) / ($5 for each contribution) = 3607 people so far are supporting this event.
I wont support it. It wont go anywhere. BUT, the silver lining is, I can't wait to see the matches filled with all but a handfull of mechs with mirror load-outs, in HOPES that PGI fires Paul, balance the game, and never do a "world Tournament" again.
3607 people..... thats .... small. My neighborhood has more people living in it (I live in the middle of nowhere btw)
5 years is the golden year for most businesses... PGI is almost at that mark with this game.... this will either be it's last hurrah, or live one more year! we shall see.

PGI will never fire Paul and they will never make major changes to the core mechanics in MWO. The game will die before they do anything about proper heat penalties, convergence, etc. We may see ghost heat changed to the new anti-alpha mechanic, but that's the biggest change we will see from now to eternity, I'm pretty sure.
We can hope that PGI does MWO2, because the odds of anyone better equipped than PGI will do a better Mechwarrior PVP game is really close to zero. It's far more likely that either a big company like EA (or a small company backed by someone like EA) will get the license and make MechAssault Online. Far, far more likely.
I don't love everything PGI does, but... I'm really not happy to roll the dice and see who else wants to do Mechwarrior PVP games.
