The real crux of the matter is that people - you included - are scared of change. Every time this topic comes up, it's always the same crew decrying Win10, for pretty much no good reason at all.
Yes, yes, laugh at my (probably more than it should be) slightly caustic attitude towards the clueless. I can take a joke. I will not, however, suffer fools who want to pin their problems on the tools rather than the user. A spade is a spade, but if you're trying to use it as a spoon and say that it's broken because it won't fit in your mouth (or is unwieldy, etc.), you absolutely deserve to be called out on it.
As for the number of reports stuff, that is shocking, though in retrospect not entirely surprising because off-topic/non-MWO stuff has a clearly designated off-topic subforum whereas FW's subforum isn't explicitly clear on what should go there, especially since it has a bunch of faction-related children (for clarity that is not an insult) branching off of it.
I am sorry, but no. As an IT Professional, have you ANY IDEA, what turning windows 10 into a RECOMMENDED SECURITY UPDATE, has done to a ridiculous number of small business I service? you know the type of locally owned store whose owners are neither particularly tech savvy, nor can afford the much more expensive enterprise versions of windows(business edition is not immune to the forced upgrade)?
IT HAS ******* RUINED MANY OF THEM. They have custom software that ONLY runs on windows 7, and cannot be replaced, in many cases it cannot be fixed or upgraded for compatability because the people or person who created the software is not available anymore. Among other things.
There are ANY NUMBER, of laptop and tablet devices out there for which NO WINDOWS 10 DRIVERS EXIST. Turning many of these devices into LITERAL BRICKS.
GET THE **** OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE YOU *******, and realize you are 0.01% of computer users savvy enough to know how to protect yourself.
AND THE MWO FORUMS DONT BELONG TO YOU.
Overprivileged *****, how about realizing that not everyone has as much time and resources available as you to learn and decipher all the tech we all take for granted?
