And come on, people. This isn't as hard a mistake to make as you all are making it sound. All the information should be very clear on the sales page. The onus is not on us to research sarna.
The page does not say battlemech. It does not say omnimech. It simply says 'mech. The only thing he was supposed to notice was that the hardpoints are called "hardpoints," not "omnipod hardpoints."
I would counter with "Emptor esse scientissimo" or "Buyer be knowledgeable".
You wouldn't go out and buy a car with out doing any research correct? Or a new gaming system (PC/Xbox/Wii U/PS4) with out doing a little home work?
I wouldn't expect anyone to have Bishop's level of knowledge or more before buying mechs, but even just putting in "Kodiak Battletech" in google, the first thing that pops up is the Sarna page, and I'm sorry but 5 minutes of reading just one web page would've told him it's a battle mech and not an omni mech. Rather than doing a little home work, the OP comes to the fourms and rages like a toddler about their own inability to do a little leg work before plunking down any cash on a digital good, that in the end you do not own, you are merely renting so long as the servers are alive or PGI decides you are not fit to play their game.

pretty much this.
If you're willing to shell real money out for Mechs...a little research into them is probably not a bad thing.
I research all mechs I've bought on Sarna first. Just to get an idea what I was looking at, while looking at their ad on the store.

and
Omnimechs are NOT exclusive to the Clans
IS gets Omnimechs too (3060's).
Clan always had Both.
Do your homework guys, this is simple stuff.
Here's a hint too; wanna know something about a mech before it comes out?

One would think that after nearly 3 years in this game he would have picked up on how things work.

It's actually not a IIC, it's a Clan original design. IICs are Star League battlemechs upgraded with Clan tech.

Using Regular Clan AC10, You can do that build with a CUAC20 or CLBX20 , 4 CSRM6-A , 2 CERMed or 2 CFLamers and be way more effective that that mish mash of a build

New as in to posting to the forums recently.
The only posts he's had are about this recently. Other post's he's had date back to late 2014. He doesn't get out very often here, rather, to log in that is.

At one point they did. They had descriptions, albeit brief ones, of each mech chassis on the website. Then they stopped updating them. Then they finally got called to task on it and updated the page to include all the chassis by simply including a picture and name. That's it, no information other than weight class.
Just another example of PGI cutting corners on the really easy stuff.
I remember when each new mech had a video as art of the sales pitch. Those days are gone too.
PGI stopped trying. So I stopped buying.

And they still do have the information and descriptions:
http://mwomercs.com/...-and-blueprint/
https://mwomercs.com/kodiak
Both links above show this is a Battlemech with Hardpoints and not OmniPods. It's even called a battlemech in the 2nd sentence of the lore link
Unlike this which clearly states
OMNIPOD HARDPOINTS
