Is It "just The Tournament" Or Has Pgi Gone Full "fortress Piranha", Again?

And yet all it would take for "this" to cease would be a Dev to step in and say:
"Hey guys we haven't gone dark. All our attention is on the tourney right now. Promise more mech packs and info on the rescale will be coming soon! There are a few changes/fixes to CW coming too so pipe down!

Or something like that.
But hey, it isn't our game and our opinions are not needed, so why on earth would PGI be concerned about all the kvetching going on? Why would they want to muzzle anything said here since it is irrelevant to them by their president's own word?

Yeah, because that went over so well last time...
I know you are being facetious, but I really want to kick you in the shin right now.
Honestly, we lost a lot of good communication on the forums from both sides because of that and a lot of people just didn't come back to the forums after that debacle.

Since when did we have good communication on both sides through General Discussion?
And is anyone truly losing out by not coming back to the forums? If anyone stopped playing the game when GD came down because "That was the last straw" for them, well, they would have then left when the next screw-up was going to take place in the game anyways.

Early on in beta we had pretty good communication. It degraded over time, but the last time it was decent was before they went goofy in the head and removed general discussion and then created 50+ new sections of related yet unrelated topics.
As for losing out yes we are because the more people you have involved the more discussion and perspectives you have. Also I will point out I said they left the forums not the game.

I don't begrudge the money I have spent, I have enjoyed my time with the game, and I'll be back like a shot if they get their act together.
I just hoped for more than this..
My regrets are for opportunities lost to make it so much better than what it ended up. Do I regret the 4 years playign the game? At times it was very NOT FUN. Other times, very much fun, and a whole lot of the time, somewhere in between.
But crying over spilled milk get's one nowhere. So good, bad or indifferent, what has happened, what money has been spent, it's done. All the past is good for is as a weather gauge for what the future might hold. Unless we see a massive sea change by PGI, we know where this ship is sailing..... it's just pulling laps in the middle of the Sargasso. Pretty enough, but going nowhere.
So, if one is happy with it being a (comparatively) slow paced shooter, World of Mechs, then I don't begrudge them spending money on the game. And I might buy something here or there if it grabs my fancy. But for me, my days of "all in" are behind me.

True regarding back in the early days. Being a forumwarrior for all these years, I personally havn't seen a difference between the quality of both topics and discussions on pre and post GD threads myself, of course that being my experience.

With 753 posts as a founder I don't think you even count as a reservist let alone a forum warrior...

I have. Even though I often found them to be incorrect, and the fawning over some of their ideas a tad idiotic, there were a lot of folks, from Vassago to Roland to Ultimatum X and Koniving and CarrionCrows who did take time to at least put thought into balance posts, fixes, etc. And even when I disagreed with them (often) at least I felt most of the time it was encouraging dialogue. At least until egos got too involved.

How old is that picture of him? Seems like it must be old because there is too much life left in his face and he is smiling. Sunken eyes and a frown need to be added for it too be an up to date picture. Maybe a darker background for mood lighting.

Vaginal Drizzle used to be a thorn in my side, i saw him as a threat to the game i had dumped over a thousand dollars on in the hopes of it taking off and content happening and balance progressing... then i realized he was just me, 4 years in the future (I.E now)
Its not just Bishop who has departed from white knighting, and its not just the knightly exodus, seeing die hard old geezers dropping out in droves over the last few months.
Ill never say the game is dying because i dont want it to die (maybe), but it isnt a hope anymore its just watching things (bridges) burn.

But at this point, I really want the Wasp, Stinger, Valkyrie and Crusader to drop so we can properly populate the HBS title.
I really wish I wanted them because I couldn't wait to drive them in MWO.

Try "doing nothing while saying you're doing everything".
When all the claims of "we're doing CW" turned out to be less effort than napkin-writing, it got pretty clear that PGI is more interested in avoiding work on anything save robots, as new robots= money.
That more content to use said robots would = more players buying = even more money seems to have escaped them in favor of immediate, scrabbling gain.

So it's a bit funny (but not at all surprising) to see it used by the pro-flea movement.

How many weeks of vacation do people get in Canada? Companies don't just shut down or drastically lower production here in the United States just because the weather is warmer.
