You can stop improving "Terra Therma", "Caustic Valley", "Forest Colony" or "River City". Thanks to the voting mechanism, people will never get to see these maps, let alone the work you´ve put into them. Posted Image It´s the same four maps all day long for everybody.

If you want to see map you will see it eventually. Thanks to voting mechanism.

I just don't get the nerfs on the Mauler and Warhammer. That's just lame.

I see that they have done 'minor performance' changes, hopefully that means the game will run more smoothly and faster as it is too slow for me, the catapult nerfs to structure make little sense, but since they are making it smaller, that offsets that. Still no new weapons though.

Exactly, that is the problem with a "map vote" system.

Perhaps it should be more like Warface, where it puts up like 6 maps and players get to pick which one they want to join and the rotation changes each 24 hours. That way every map gets it's time in the sun, even if that 6 CERPPC DIre Star doesnt like Terra Therma....

Funny, i keep getting TT without ever voting for it... granted not as often as the other maps, but i've even dropped twice in a row on 2 different times in past 3 days...

I guess my concern is that people whine and complain b/c their personal expectations and agendas are not being met. The people that are happy with the game aren't complaining so the changes are always skewed to the agendas of a vocal minority.

In other words, a lot of the time i find it hard to believe that those that raise issues about "look what they did to this mech or that mech" have anything but their own interests at heart. I swear for some, that *is* their game... they don't balance, they don't care about balance, they just want what they want and everyone else can take a hike.

That attitude will just get this game scuttled sooner rather than later.

We need a game that has some modicum of balance and a better means to induct new players. Thats my verbose 2 cents...

Well said. PGI seems to still swing hard to one side or the other, they either ignore their customers.....or they pick the dumbest, most inane ramblings of the vocal minority and run with them. Like the cry for solo only que in FP. It was a HUGE deal....'everyone' wanted it, it was vital to "save" the game. Well, they sunk tons of time and money into putting that out....and.......no one wanted it. Lasted less than a week, everyone formed single person units to avoid the solo que. This is the only game I know of where there are so many "ques". Just power up and get in game, shesh. LOL

This patch is looking good, Command Wheel control looks a bit off (You have to bring up the wheel and TARGET an enemy mech to activate 'enemy spotted'?) but we'll see how it flies in action, sure they will tweak it a bit as it gets use.

Frozen city looks amazing, can't wait to run through it.

Rescale and new quirks, lots going on there, time to buckle down and see where the sweet spot is again. No time to whine and throw temper tantrums about my favorite mech being "nerfed", just time to Mech up and find the winning.

I played on River City and Forest Colony yesterday several times, Caustic a couple, plus Canyon, Frozen and Bog. Didn't see Terra but hey, that's a stupid map so I don't miss it. lol

Oh my, now you showed me!

How dare I voice my opinion!

Look, I'd be okay with Atlas nerfs in any department BUT structure and armour. Because that works against the design an purpose of the mech. And the K buffs won't help it become more popular.

I'm sorry but you're wrong. No mechs are supposed to have ANY quirks at all. Quirks is what they gave to shut up whiners who wouldnt spend dollars for new mechs, or wouldn't put in the time to earn cbills to buy different mechs, or were incapable of adapting their play to other mechs and builds and tactics.

Lets be fair, they gave out quirks, because for them it was the easiest way to.... "balance"... IS vs Clan.

Clans were ridiculously OP in TT... Even if they were able to implement 10 v 12 in FP, how would they balance mixed tech in QP?

Geez, they should have a weekend occaisionally where all quirks/nerfs are removed and All IS mechs get +30% on Cbills and XP so we can all remember how bad it was when clams first dropped...

Ret-conning to explain inconsistencies in different game versions of Battletech with an optional rules set doesn't mean the designers of THIS game had to implement quirks at all. Be thankful they did and stop bitching if they alter the quirks. You're lucky they let you have any at all but its not in any way mandatory that they have to give the quirks you want. There's this artificial sense of entitlement with the players of this game.

Whoa, are you saying back when wave one dropped it was even remotely fair to have IS vs clans?

And I don't feel entitled to anything, trying to explain what happened and why we have quirks in the first place

And if they would just implement the Hatchetman, all would be balanced again.

It doesn't matter if the game was fair or not when they released clan mechs... life isn't fair. Time to grow up kiddies.

No its not, but until clan wave 1 came out for Cbills it was essentially P2W so they broke one of their own tenets. Additionally, since you and I are not the owners of the game we cannot dictate what the game should be. You don't remember the weeping and wailing when clans came out? PGI didn't say "suck it up, enjoy the imbalance" like you do. They may have had a bumpy road, but they are trying to get it right.

Your solution is to just let it burn? Clams OP forever?

I'm not sure your game model would have survived even this long... you would rendered all IS mechs obsolete. F2P'ers and players that had invested HUNDREDS up until that point would have quit if PGI said "life isn't fair. Time to grow up kiddies."

Sorry Dee Eight, gonna disagree with you there...

Even in casinos, they at least give you the illusion of having a chance at winning. If they hadn't given IS quirks, they would not have even had that in CW.

Well, perhaps you can go play a game that is overtly p2w as opposed to one that is clearly not trying to be one...

I'm not going anywhere, I like this one. I'm also not gonna whinefest over nerf/buffs of mechs. I will simply alter my play/tactics/builds.

What was done to the Black Knight it's just a crime. They have made him bigger and skinner, while it's suppose to be kinda beefy. Instead of making him so tall and fragile, they could just made his arm bigger, at least one, to have it as a arm-shield, buffing it's brawler capabilities.
