Yeah, I dropped with some Falcon loyalists from my friends list today (thx Duplox and the others for the drops Posted Image ) and we ran into a Kurita premade?! Git of my lawn our front Posted Image

I wanted to fight the DIDs (Davions in Disguise Posted Image )

However, nice action on the front, and good fights to be had. Also lots of taunting and trash talk in good mood, I like that a lot about FP, too Posted Image
Dear Coordinators benevolence is far-reaching.

Some of the best parts of CW1 was the friendly rivalries, trashtalk and the like. We were there to have fun and everyone was pretty much doing so. We had daily news about the fronts and people were invested in their side winning. While I'm sure we can all say the things we wish PGI would do for FW it is fair to say there's a certain degree of player investment involved in making FW fun.

Full on props to Aylward for helping push that. I know it's got us involved.

A lot of great games all weekend, had a lot of fun and the smack talk was real.

This is the reason I like playing FW.

Keep it up, both sides.

Aylward, I just wanted to say I really appreciate the work you're doing with this. It's made the whole event so much more fun to watch and read about (even when I'm at work and otherwise bored!).

Loving listening in to these enemy broadcasts!

Perhaps its just me, but the older computer voice is sometimes hard to follow.
I know Windows has limited voices by default, but could the reporter get a change to a newer voice?
When I was trying out VoiceAttack a while back, there are some relatively newer ones that sound/flow much better without having to make the leap to the modern ones that have a cost attached.

June 28
Apostica, Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone
Southern Continent, West Quadrant, Engagement Zone Lima, Hill 359

A Jade Falcon 'Mechwarrior inhaled deeply. The air was spiced with chemical residue. He tasted coolant fluid, oil, rocket propellant, and his personal favorit: victory.

Looking around him he knew this planet was taken. To his right hot metal cracked and screamed while being deformed by the steady but slow process of cooling down.
The chassis was easy to identify, an old fashioned and obsolete variant of the Catapult.
Death came to it so swiftly the pilot haven't even had time to fire his prepared LRM salvo.

He produced a flask and refreshed himself with a well mixed Fusionaire.
Swiftly he rose the flask to a quick salute directed at the remains of the Catapult pilot.

About 200 total players engaged on the Steiner/CJF front right now, about 1pm PSTon a Tuesday.

That's awesome to see!

My first stop every night is to see what the new FFSN news broadcast will be. Awesome work here man, keep it going.

June 29
Planet Nekkar, Jade Falcon Occupation Zone
Low Orbit

A star of Jade Falcon Sabutais ascended into the blackest void. Underneath them lay the the many battfields of this torn planet. Star Commander Heidi Folkner returned from an air raid on the last few spiteful defenders. With them squashed this planet was yet again under control of the Falcons.
Peace will be temporary though, for it seems the opposing forces grew a fancy of this mediocre rock. She wiggled the wings of her craft to salute the fallen and craved for a fresh Fusionaire in the officers' lounge.

A quick suggestion. Operation Gallahad might make a practice of dropping in less than full units (3 for scouting, out 10 for invasion) so that we intentionally pick up pugs.

If they aren't seeking us out, maybe a taste of a more positive outcome can get them interested in being a productive participant.

While in CW and if we do have room, Operation Galahad or not, we offer our TS info and a warm offer to join the fun.

Wish more took us up on the offer TBH.

The goal is to run 8-10mans an pick up pugs, it stretches your coordinated teams further. We're badly outnumbered by the honorless merc hordes of the Clans (that still cracks me up) so we try to maximize populations. However most pugs don't tend to want to group up so it's a struggle.

Good games though. All day every day.

Stiener Infedels,
I must say I was saddened to hear Handoverfist reporting that the Davion commanders were blaming the pugs for thier losses.
Instead of complaing about PUG's losing the war how about some propaganda in this forum to encourage them to show on your TS.

How about -

Get in a group, leave your mic off if you want and just listen to the call, we win over 80% of our drops and run them back to back to back.

Kill Clanners get paid. Why roll dice and leave your fun up to luck? Plug in to a team to play a team game.

Kill Clanners.

Get Paid.

What else is there?
