we need settings tool on minimap!
- relative to mech
- torso orientation
- ZOOM!

I cannot play MW:O with the disorienting new minimap as it gives me motion sickness.

oh my goodness this is worse than the other at least with the old mini map I had a sense of direction and if I thought these 61 yr old eyes had trouble seeing the other map I'm in trouble now

The look of it is okay, but it's impossible to actually tell whats happening..

Dislike the new minimap. Please return to the old version. Fine with a little zooming out and keeping the enemy mech icons, but please bring back rotation and mech orientation.

This is an EXCELLENT idea. I don't care about kill counter during the game, I'll get that at the end. Let's have that monitor contain something useful.

folks, even if it wastes 30 days premium: I AM OFF THE GAME UNTIL MINIMAP IS FIXED.
people now completely dont have a tactical overview anymore. get the **** the **** out of this game.

that and i want an option to stop communication spam wheel ****, that kind of disorienting information overload makes me vomit, not verbally but for real.

Unfortunately I have to agree with all of the above. The new minimap is completely useless.

Please bring back the old Minimap ASAP.

The only needed improvement for the old minimap was to make the coordinates easily readible by putting them in a contrast color to the background. E.g. black on white instead of the old white on white.

Can't believe that this was actually tested. Or if it were, then Russ must have brushed aside any objections. Probably said "I'm the Boss and do whsat I say". After all He probably knows better than the actual players.

I see a lot of refunds on recently purchased mech packages - a load of refunds and a lod of $$$ going back to us.

OK now that Ive played a few games since patch it is apparent to me that the new minimap is not only useless, but gives me motion sickness! i feel seasick from it for petes sake! This thread has over 100 complaints now and not a peep from PGI? Your game is making me sick now guys and i have no choice but to stop playing. Can you maybe send me an email when youve built a mechwarrior game that doesnt make me wanna eat dramamine like candy? Since you dont have the time to reply to the complaints, post on twitter, or communicate to the community at all im gonna just assume that your busy fixing it, otherwise you might as well be telling all of us to go make sex to ourselves if you know what i mean.

I have huge problems with the new mini map as well. I think i never navigated this confuse before :)
The ability to zoom in/out and the rotation would help.

I'm pretty sure it was exactly that. In the town hall he literally said he took this minimap from World of Tanks. Dude that town hall meeting pisses me off. He says "people wont like it, but this is what it is for now".

Well **** that. And **** this game for a CEO that thinks like that. You are catering to the community, not making the game you want, because what you want is clearly ******* stupid.

This map is not helpful at all . For starters I have no idea what direction I'm facing and my mech indicator is nothing but a black blob in the middle of the map. There is no vision field to show where you are looking. I was physically looking at the enemy but the map showed them behind me (I think it was behind me. Can't really tell.) Please do something about this quick. There are other things like off center numbers in the killed indicators. They were outside the box they were supposed to be in.

I played around with this and there no way I can orient myself to where I am on the map or where I'm facing.
I do not know if or how you can zoom on this mini but every thing is so small you can not tell what anything is.

that is the worst "UPDATE" i ever experienced. Is that supposed to cancel somehow all the experience that old players have gathered, stealing them the feeling for the minimap and the positions? I seriously wonder who the heck is responsible for it, at least its not an experienced player. This is such a bad, terrible steal from the gameplay, its really ridicolous. And no, its not just a thing "you will get used to"...Sure you will, like to everything. But it just does nt make sense, its a very bad, poor adjustment which was based on an impulsive, wrong concept. No more paysafecards from me until somebody wipes out that fiasko.

So far a very nice patch, new minimap is unfortunately by far the worst change i've seen in 2 yrs.

- orientation needs way to much attention and time (full battlegrid is no option / except for the teamleader, maybe)
- complete overload of visual intel in that small window (overlapping)
- seismic useless
- available space additionally wasted by these large flags (or "P"- letters?!)
- you want to increase TTK? Continue fixing the whole system step by step,
desorienting the player is not an reasonable option.

Pls bring back the old one asap or at least:

- bring rotation back
- change the weightclass icons to small dots, nobody can differentiate them anyway
- "P" or flag icons are duplicate content
- center on own mech & zoom option
- directional arrows at least for the whole (own) team

I personally got used to a lot of stuff while being in MWO, np. But i won't deal with this for long, i promise.
