HOTAS and pedals, mostly, but I've got a mouse on standby in case I need to do some precision aiming.
It will really depend on how fast the Mechs "feel", really. I found I could play MW2 quite comfortably with a joystick, and that was back using 90s hardware.

I hate you. I lived in Austin for awhile. San Antonio had a set, then got rid of them after I got about 3 visits in, They used to have them here in Cleveland, OH, USA, but they were at a place called Dave and Busters. After a couple of times of having no lounge like the VW sites and having drunk office people stumbling into me at mission review I pouted and have been without Tesla ever since. :)

If there was native support for the dual shock 3 6 axis then I would literally **** all over my keyboard.

As soon as I get home I'm gonna buy this game and start playing it with keyboard and mouse. If I think a joystick will improve my game then I'll buy one just for this game...

BTW, would using a joystick work to your advantage or is keyboard and mouse just as good or is this just a matter of opinion?

I would love to have dual stick controls. That is the way it should be in a mech and what disappoints me about the Razer Artemis. If there is no support for it, then I will have to resort to kb/m sadness.

Nice to know! :)

I'll be using keyboard and mouse as long at it works as I expect. If not then I might try using an Xbox 360 controller, or a combination of a joystick and a G13 Gamepad.

Sadly, I'm going KB/M for this one.

I own a joystick, but it's one of the Logitech ones that's.. well, it's not quite ergonomically set up to be used one handed, and it doesn't have enough buttons to replace both a keyboard AND a mouse. So, I generally find it pretty close to useless in most games.

I'd like to pick up a nice joystick + throttle set, but money is an issue.

I do have a very nice keyboard and a comfortable, precise mouse. I'm hoping this is good enough. My roommate is considering dropping about $1200 on a makeshift cockpit setup, with joystick + throttle, pedals, many displays.. when/if he does that, I might give it a few whirls and see how it feels. If it's awesome, I might slowly divert funds.

Probably joystick / razer nostromo... or mouse / nostromo...

I'll use joystick / g510 if the game actually works with this keyboard...

Personally I've had better luck with a keyboard/mouse combo than my joystick. Seems much faster in the aiming department. Granted this could be due to my craptastic Logitech joystick... but :(.

Assuming the bindings are working. So how's that going for you?
