I feel that we have all the clan omnis of the current timeline less Firemoth. I find many like pouncer, phantom too much like current mechs.
  • Fire Moth

  • Coyotl (Extinct?)
  • Mongrel
  • Phantom (BAD)
  • Battle Cobra (BAD)
  • Black Lanner (BAD)
  • Crossbow (EXTREMELY BAD)
  • Woodsman (Semi-Extinct)
  • Kingfisher
  • Turkina
Remaining omnis.

Glass Spider and Thresher might be interesting Clan battlemechs. Considering Battlemechs get hardpoint inflation, and the 70-ton slot currently could use a little TLC....

I would certainly buy the Crusader and I had been thinking alot about how PGI may make that one look: To get an idea I spent a good deal of time marrying components from the Archer with that of the Phoenix Hawk and came up with this concept piece for the Crusader as we may see it in MWO style.

Too skinny for a Crusader imho, but thats just my thoughts. Crusader should be a stocky, short mech, thick. That does look nice but with volumetric scaling would be the height of an Atlas.

Bishop I don't understand why you encourage this nonsense. You as well as anybody here knows that the game needs a lot more than new mechs. Not going back to post your complaints even recently but I don't understand this thread from you.

Crusader is a big one for me.

Wasp/stinger I don't think if done, these would be a separate mech, the stinger would probably be the/a hero, or the collectors, as there is only one variant at this time.

Javelin, just because

Assassin
Whitworth
Vulcan every mech regiment should have a pin head mech.
Clint AC5 mech with droopy dog ears
Hatchetman because it would be the ultimate Melee tease, and I like the look of the head

Maybe the Charger, mech sucks but the reason it sucks isn't valid with the customisation system it would be another 80 ton laser boat, with a high engine cap, so maybe meh maybe not.

If this command system works out with the Cyclops, I'd be tempted to buy an ost scout

I want to say Hermes II but it will just be an uglier slower version of the Phoenix hawk.

If I'm totally honest, the Linebacker artwork has got me very interested in breaking my own ban on clan mechs. The art work is fantastic and the 'nose' reminds me of Thunderbird 2 however the artwork is often far away from the thing we end up with, and I was royally pissed at the shotguns on the Phoenix Hawk.

With all due respect ...

but shouldn´t the game be more exiting than the next "new" mech ?

It should be, however it isn't, and its pretty clear that it's never going to be anything more than what we have.

Question is do those of us that feel varying levels of bitterness, stop spending and help it sink faster, or do we keep the lights on.

People keep going "Aww, the Charger will just be another laserboat."

The base chassis is. The -SB is. The -1A5 is a nice mix of AC/20, a pair of SRM 6s and a pair of MLs- which puts it much in the same role as other pocket brawler builds. The -1A9 gets jump jets (but a lower engine size, a 320 like the -1A5) and a shoulder-mount LRM 20 much like MWO Griffin builds (and later the -1A1 speed with the -3K XL upgrade gives you the best of both). Either the -1L or -SB do fall under "laserboat", but it's definitely not the only option for the chassis.

-1A1, -1A5, -1A9/-3K, -1L, Challenger (aka -SB) hero would a fairly decent option make.

The only complaint I would have with PGI going to bring the Charger into the game is this: without collision, where's the point?

There are plenty of other overengined 'Mechs as it is, the -1A1 Charger is just the king of the concept.

Look at the Linebacker. Modern tech, 390XL, but even still dominated by it's bloated power plant.

First of all, the art is great and we like robits.

Second of all, mech development and game design are basically discrete from each other. We have artists and riggers for mechs, and coders and designers for game mechanics and changes.

Fair and accurate point. That said decenting opinion is we as a community need to let PGI know our feeling over lacking content and depth taking back seat to mech minusha.

One with a functional melee weapon (http://www.sarna.net...lee_BattleMechs) and/or flight capability (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Land_Air_'Mech). Not so particular about which chassis, just something that'd do something functionally different from what we already have.

Flashman in classic Battletech data diagram style.

I'd also like one of these, and I don't care if they aren't Battletech:

Ugh, I'd pass on the Alpha fighter.... it's a flat out down grade from the VF-1 Valkyrie.... slower, less agile and less well armoured.... Yes it packs more missiles, but they are much shorter ranged missiles.....

Wasp/Stinger
Assassin
Clint
Vulcan
Dervish
Charger (I still dream of a 400xl 8 SPL Charger in the game)

Maybe Avatar and Stone Rhino for the lulz (Slow as hell Triple-Gauss would be fun for a moment)

Plus mechs that I'd like to see but doubt we ever will
Scorpion/Goliath
Hatchetman/Axeman/Berserker (because yay melee!)

That's really it. Didn't play much with mechs beyond the 3025 TRO excluding clans, and the majority of mechs I used/grew attached to through the tabletop/other video games are already in-game or never coming.
