Make any mech a c-bill bonus (S) variant for 15$

monthly sub 10$ unlocks all mechs however they come with equipment that cannot be sold (or come with no equipment) and access is lost when sub ends (can spend exp and level mechs)

PvE missions where you can earn c-bills for MWO, access requires sub for 10$/month (1 week free?)

Crowdfunding for new mechs - list a few dozen mechs, allow players to commit to pay 55$ for it to be added, produce the top three or four (those players get 20$+20$+15$ collectors pack + some sort of bonus)

Whale-funding - design a map: 1000$ design a map of a player's choice, using player's text description and/or drawn pictures, within game design limits (i.e. no breakable building requests), and PGI can reject the request (and money) if they deem the map is not a good fit for MWO. Player gets an Easter egg plaque with their name somewhere on the map.

Whale-funding - add mech: 1000$ add a mech from MWO lore within the right time frame and within current game design limits as a pack, player gets all skins unlocked by default and all mechs of that chassis, can suggest catch-line for special skin variants

I'll pay good money for these...

Another idea is maybe a MC purchase to make a 'mech have a premium bonus?... not a 30% one! something minor like a 10% one (and can work on hero mechs as well to increase it)... another one for XP. etc.

Last but not least PvE campaigns./ game.

The whole custom ui idea would be gold mine for pgi .

heck they probably could even recoup the costs of the artist alone on just offering a ui with a wireframe theme to it .

this idea is at least 2 years old now and is one of the best thus far .

yet supply drops win over this ....

There is always favourites to add. The Linebacker does have supporters but as you know it isn't that big.

However MW: O is in a 1:1 time ratio with real life...

Eventually the first omnimech for IS will be added and the rest will trickle in. Despite if the Sunder or Avatar isn't the most favourite IS omni people have these will be the first and like the first wave clan 'mechs or the founder 'mechs people will eat it up not basedd on the actual mech (however a lot will still do that) but instead mostly for the tech...

Then we got the first clan 'mechs that has Heavy lasers, ATM's, etc.... and slowly ER pulse lasers trickle in... IS start to get ER med lasers SSRM 6's and a heavy gauss rifle...

And boom we're in the early 3060's now... we got huge favorites like the osiris, cougar, templar, fafnir, mad cat mk II, argus, thanatos, etc which are huge crowd favorites and may bring back some attention from those who played MW3 and MW4.

But I do agree that microtransactions need to be increased in methods...

My response to yours and then I will say my own...

1) Well the price is quite low for PGI standards, but I think say 200 MC for a Deckle should be great price. Obviously some are achievement required, mechpackage required, and C-bill purchases.

2) Neg. For many Solaris VII is a huge lore and fan favorite. This is a place where poor men can get rich over night if they can keep up the rearm and repair price of their 'Mechs. I personally would love the free for all deathmatch Solaris VII and I do not care if I am in the exhibition games or if I am in the ones leading up to the grand championship. I do not care about the leaderboards and just want to enjoy and love the free for all nature of Solaris VII and it's weight class matches and such.
I do not believe ANY part of the games matches, modes, etc should be behind a paywall.

3) Like able to spawn 5.. . 6... 7 times in a single match? Neg. That would be pay to win because 48 vs 48 mechs in a matches is fair, if a 12 man team of riches are using 10 matches each that game they will literally non stop vomit out firestarters/ arctic cheetahs to all hell comes.

4) They are working on it, but I think another monitisation point may be they can add more hero mechs for those that have famous chassis on certain 'mechs. For eg the Direwolf has like 2-3 lore timeline appropiate hero 'mechs and then we got 4 more from MW4 we can inspire from.

5) Like Premium Long Tom strike?... Posted Image

6) I heard they are working on it already, we already got 5 'mechs with it anyway atm... Cicada 3F, Nova, Executioner, Wolverine, and Zeus.

Now my ideas of points to monitise...

I) custom UI changes. You can buy yourself into a different UI format and appearance.
(most of this is from Topgame Media... actually all of them are. enjoy!)

I know I would get this for sure. Just color options would be a for sure buy.

The entire game is free to play basically. More content and customization for MC is welcomed. Expansions for dollars is to.

Develop SOLARIS and have it such that only people with PREMIUM TIME can participate.

Treat PT as an "entry fee". And have actual prizes :-)

PGI has already monetised many cosmetic features. I think that monetising SOLARIS would be the way ahead in a form of "post crowd source" or rather, the traditional way of doing things.

Maybe they can't monetize Solaris directly, but they could let other players bet on the outcome of Solaris matches :).

Moneytizing should be about cosmetics for the most part. Paintjobs and cockpit stuff are allready included, decals will be added sometimes in the future.
PGI could go the WoT-way by letting people add their own decals for MC. I know, I know, copyrights and such, but wargaming is actually policing the uploaded decals and removes them if they do violate anyones rights, so PGI could do the same.
Another thing to moneytize would be cosmetics for the pilotmodel itself, though it would need to be expanded similiar to EvE Online.

Another thing that comes to me mind would be different spectator lounges for Solaris - a basic, free one with limited options (like limited amount of camera angels, no zoom, only 30 seconds rewind) and a premium one for MC with more options (and more beautiful waitresses ^^).

I think move to something you could actually own physically. Models, t-shirt and crap like that.

I'd like a sort of betting system BUT PGI had to be very careful because player exploitation of the system could be enormous.

Lower the darn price on camo and drop the "works only on one chassis" rule. I really do like the patterns but a bit to pricey for a cosmetic.

Physical merchandise.
PvE expansions that are stand alone, but upon completion add 6.5 mil cbills, a set of modules, and a color to the PvP part of your account.
Custom paint pallet that is about $5 per custom paint.

Quads. With a unique movement type. They aren't mechs, they are quads. Totally not the same thing at all. ;)

Not only can they, they should. C-bill and MC license. Renewed every week. Very small amount of MC and fair amount of creds. Its even immersive.

This game has to get into gear eventually.

The headline of the thread is misleading. PGI doesn't know MICROtransactions. They only know MACROtransactions.

Havnt done a model since I was a kid but I would get back into it for maybe a Marauder model.

Battletech light cruiser hanging from the ceiling like when I was 10? For sure. :) ( It wasn't a Battletech light cruiser of course but it would have been cooler. :))
