Ran around in the stock VPR-A a little last night. Fairly fast, extremely responsive, mad hops, and impressively durable for 40 tons. Gotta keep a better eye on my heat gauge, though. These little guys aren't really optimized for heat efficiency. But that's about the only notable downside I've seen so far.

OK....did NOBODY at PGI check the Cobra Viper pattern on the mech before putting that as the early adopter camo unlock ?! The Cobra barely shows at all on the mech because the torso is so narrow. Its downright UGLY to use this camo on the mech. Given that its mainly a Ghost Bear mech, it should have come with the Ghost bear camo unlocked...or some ghost bear paint colors unlocked instead.

You can buy another camo, if it doesn't look good for you !

And maybe we will see some further quirks with the hot-fix !
Better heat efficiency would be nice for that 6 laser setup !

If they improve the Viper, they had better fix the Quirks with a slight re-Buff'ing on the Catapult and Nova. No reason not to fix them all at one shot. No reason to leave overly weak Mechs that way either, seeing as Mechs should NEVER be Glass Cannons without regard to your config. <_<
