I want us to keep rolling out additional Clan/Merc Decals in the future, but at the moment these are the only ones I can safely guarantee. The artists are at full capacity with other tasks at the moment so I'll be taking care of the Decals listed above when time allows, based heavily on the original designs. If anyone is wondering why these can't be thrown together for April - or why May isn't a full guarantee - it's because the Decals need to be redrawn and iterated a few times to work well with the Decal system.
So making the initial emblem may be fairly straightforward, but it needs to be tested in the Decal system and adjusted a few times over. Testing a Decal on larger 'Mechs with more surface area is pretty easy, but smaller 'Mechs are the real test-case.
I'll do my best to make sure the Decals are as faithful as possible while remaining readable at various sizes.

Oh well, I'll say it again ... a way for player units to upload their emblems and turn them into decals.

I've seen that done on World of Tanks, why not here ?

Honestly, rather than new decals, I would like for decals to not refuse to place when they're "too large". It'd be great to have them more effectively wrap geometry so that you could use them to create funky patterns that alter your paintjob.

Dunno if mentioned before but:

Four leaf clover is an obvious one, along with horseshoe, wishbone and any other luck fetish.
A three-color Tudor rose would be nice.

For brigade decals I wanted to show some IS decals we should get for each faction. Due to my love for House Steiner, I wanted to include these brigade decals first. So I decided to put the brigade decals with the color scheme of each mech starting with the Zeus.

What we need is not a lot of decals, but a decal builder. Lot of people like to put their tags in their mechs, like for example mine, which is a white "IX" with a red hearth as background, which takes 3 of the limited 6 slots, If we were able to combine them into a single decal, not only basic form colourable decals would finally be useful, but we could also have a wider range of customization, more or less like the system that Call of Duty: Black Ops had for their emblems
