3. 2x Med Pulse Laser (IS)
4. AC5
5. SHC-A Right Arm
6. ER PPC
7. Mech Bay

So basically, the supply cache purchases in this case are very much worth it.
You basically spent 200 MC on keys to get a 300 MC mechbay, 350k cbills, and a bunch of equipment that might net you about a million total c-bills when everything is said and done.
Doesn't seem like that bad of an exchange to essentially get a mechbay for 1/3rd off + a chunk of c-bills.

But as they continue to follow the path of other F2P games, We can all look forward to when they make an announcement that all mech and weapon modules will become bound to the mech once you equip them. It's only a matter of time

I don't think they will do that to a mechwarrior game. And if they do, I and a whole lot of other players will quit.

Point being, I'm not going to look back in a year and think "Ah yes, I remember when I won this SRM4, that was a fun challenge". Really takes away from the events IMO.

I posted this in another thread but the problem is that the experience is so negative.
I opened 3 boxes. In those 3 boxes, there were 21 items that I would have felt good about winning and only 3 items that were craptastic. I was excited about my chances to win because darn near 90% of the prizes were things I wanted to win. However in all three cases I got the 1 craptastic item.
The point I am making it isn't about anything other than how the whole process makes you feel. Instead of feeling good about getting the Supply Cache award at the end of a match because you know you have a good chance of getting some nice goodies, you just end up disappointed because when you do open the boxes be it with free keys or MC purchased keys, you realize your chance of getting anything even half way decent are like 1%.
So overall all the Supply Cache system does is make the players disappointed. If you use a key you get disappointed because you only win the craptastic stuff and if you sell them for the 50k C-bills you find your disappointed that you have to dispose of a prize you won rather than open it. It is lose-lose even if every box technically gives you something.
this!

these caches come with the keys when you buy MC

The omnipods are my favorite part. Nothing like getting a chunk of a robot you never even owned to begin with.
One-shot paint/camo would be ideal to add instead.

If they gave away MC items and you won an item you WERE going to purchase and now don't have to, then the give away item DID cost PGI a sale. If you weren't going to purchase that item anyway, and it had no effect on your purchasing, then yes what you said would be right.
I think PGI is afraid that if they sweeten the pot too much with MC goods, it will erode sales. Unfortunately I think that means they went too far into the C-Bill only item territory. I think they could improve the pot and the odds a little bit more.
I'd add one thing for PGI to stew on, if I get one Mech I'm going to have to buy 2 more to master it, there is the up sale.

A lot of people tried the caches, got crap or cheap useless stuff out of them and will never buy a key or open a crate again.
This whole thing is like a manual on how to shoot yourself into the knee.
Well done pgi, well done.

Thank you.
Found it odd that I had two boxes rewarded both with exact same items in the exact same places in the box and when opened got exact same things.
Just trying to add some 'data' to the discussion.
For the record, don't really care for the boxes all that much. PGI missed a great opportunity here to add some lore/immersion with the boxes. I will NEVER pay $$ for a key but will gladly open them up when I have free MC from events.
It feels kinda like an odd coincident.
Either the draw rate for those item are very high.
ie: the Keys have 45% drop rate, and the cGauss at 40%, leaving the remain 4 items at single digit drop rate.
or the result for each cache is predetermined, but the chance of getting the cache is random.
ie: there are 8 identical cache, each have a chance to be reward to player.
the chance of getting Key cache is 45%, and cache with cGauss is at 40%.
this method is really arsebackward way of doing gacha system, but I have seen this before in my line of work.
due to weird system limitation, it cannot gacha something in a player's possession, but can randomize the item before issuing to player.

Unless you purchase the other 2 mechs with C-Bills (which is the most likely way they will be purchased).

received: 250,000 c-bills
narc
mechbay
Best thing to do is survey what is in the boxes and if most of the item can be bought for c-bills, just sell that box. Look for the MC valued items and go from there.
