This event can be finished in less than 2 hours, then go to the PTS.

sorry my friend, this is a joke.
I am not a bad player and it took me an evening to finish 2 categories.
easy to do but not in 2 hours for a normal gamer

Actually I think they left the matchmaker on and set as regular, THAT"s why its an all-weights event... team makeups look just like regular non-event days.

Can't be. Maybe weight class composition, but certainly not Tier-mix. There are people who, when you watch them play, can never ever bee out of Tier 5 and even when carried by others, they would immediately flush back again.

I think your right, im seeing some of the most absurd play i have ever witnessed in MWO in a long time.

Where was the event/sale for the heavy mechs?

Already done with the event. Don't see what the whine about it taking too long is about.

Can be. There are good and bad players in every tier. Tier's are pointless... all it measures really is damage output, not actual skill.

Its next month before the Night Gyr patch.

That's got nothing to do with tier and everything to do with folks chasing the leaderboard scoring formula.

Not even Damage output, even though I would admit it is an unproportionally large share (speaking of promoting farming...). It is mostly an XP-bar. Over time, you will get carried to Tier 3, 2 and eventually 1 and that is what we are seeing right now and what makes the overall quality of the matches rather terrible.

Hence me asking PGI to change it.

Nice one. Do like a nice event and miss them when they do not happen.

Do not think I will be able to claim all the reward this time as Deus Ex is released in two days :)

I love it! Something for everybody.

My thoughts exactly. Leaderboard events should always be for all weight classes, so people keep playing the mechs they usually would.

Especially the light and assault events we had recently simply drove me away. It's fun only so long to fight matches with 6 to 8 lights/assaults per team even if you are playing one yourself, because the whole dynamic of a match completely changes.

I got a bounch of keys from this event. The caches I got were all bad so I sold them all, some had no mechs at all, or only IS mechs, and I only open if there is Clan mech as grand price.

Just usual games diddn't seem any different.

You can horde keys all you want but chance of getting mechs is very low.

Events cause yellow streaks up the spine

Good players take damage and shoot back.

Bad players take damage and hide, only time this is a good thing is if your out ranged, then you look for another approach route, not huddle in a corner

So we did the medium event, the assault event, the light event, and now the the world event.

Did I miss the heavy event? I had a few I were hoping would go on sale!

Going by the logical order of things one can infer that a heavy sale would be this weekend. If we were dealing with logical people. We got PGI'ed. I was going to spend some MC on some heavy heroes, cbills on their variants, and some mech bays to host them. I guess not.

Some feedback:

1. Great event
2. PTS stuff looks good
3. Don't complain that too few players are testing stuff on the PTS

over and out

Apologies. Its a big thread. I don't have time to read the whole thing and find out if it was discussed elsewhere. I'm guessing I didn't miss anything?

...you are missing the fact that someone told you exactly where in this "long" thread the answer was, and you still thought it was more convenient for you to ask again than take a look earlier in same page. If people just repeat same question and don't bother to read anything, sure the thread may get very long indeed.

Well I didn't see an official PGI response to that question anywhere in this thread. Just an assumptive answer from a white knight.
