Maybe he has to be killed while inside the base perimeter...

It was Conquest on Polar Highlands. We killed an enemy trying to take a point we owned!
So...
1. Base or Point must be owned by your team
2. Enemy must be killed while inside your point which is still owned by your team
3. I think...
Because one of our guys also got a defensive kill while killing an enemy while capping an enemy base on Assault...

Most of the other challenges were just really poorly worded in one way or another. Like the telemetry being checked was for TAG/NARC kill (as in, the in-game c-bill reward) as opposed to a mech killed while TAGed or NARCed, or the thing with Ninja where the way it was written you had to TAG a mech and not have line-of-sight on any enemy.
Defensive kills? If you aren't in just the right place at just the right time and if the enemy isn't in poor health or... yeah. This one is going to take a while.

Or better yet, maybe explain to us how to secure these rewards in Faction Play, since the challenge is marked FOR faction play as well?
I'm tempted to just say 'screw this last one.' It's too impossible to engineer the EXACT circumstances to get this point. Not unless you talk the entire enemy team into storming your base so you can kill them all inside the box.
That or camping your capture point in Conquest until the enemy arrives.
Or holding back and playing defense on Assault until the enemy swarms your base and actually enters the perimeter to trigger the reward conditions.
Seriously...PGI did not think this one through...

-53% vote for Conquest...gamemaker picks Assault. REALLY!?

For Mechbay - yes.
It is good that this reward is so small. That way it will not be missed.
Imagine the outrage if people would not get those 110MC or Mechbay, because this one is so hard to get.

QP is completely useless for people not participating in the event.
Frustrating if you try to win, not only to achieve your personal goals.

I have some free goal suggestions for another stupid challenge:
- kill a friendly mech with override engaged
- do 100+ friendly damage and survive
- lose a game and do 0 dmg
- type 1000 characters in an in-game chat
- press tag button 666 times
- apply a flamer against enemy base structure in conquest mode
- jump and break a leg...

As I know you need make exactly 1 kill and win, but still remains a possibility that you happen a bug with the cockpit , is when you run into backwards into the wall and you see your cockpit

• Nice to have a very different event. Actually felt like an event weekend.
• Props for the things that encourage good team play... like shooting down the uav.(hopefully more players will remember to do so going forward).
• Quite amusing to hear people genuinely want lrm boats on their team...
• Good variety of things to achieve and nice variety of rewards; mc, cbills, cockpit items, paint, keys, weird boxes that only ever give me what I least want, decals, prem time... yay for paint!!!
• specifc rewards for light and medium mechs; I enjoy having less assaults and heavies in drops for a change.
• Nice synergy between popping uavs and shooting them down.
Negative:
• I think most of this has been covered.... but I will add that I think that odd ball things like the 3rd person view should be a one of one to achieve not three.
• time wise... more would be good. Especially with the 10 hour component.

Scouting mode, kill a mech standing in the bug-out-zone when the loudmouth in the DropShip comes back.
Or that would be my guess anyway

Played it because it was different.
The last thing we need here are constant, boring, usual events that pull us out.
Though we all can see the cons, plenty of people like challenges and no doubt they had fun with it. Good to know the ones planning these almost weekly activities, have more new ideas for us to handle around.
