You need to change time Tiger.
I play with many NA and SA players around 20 GMT and there is no damn problem with that.
This is like fracking worst time that you can pick up. By that you going to hurt event very much. FFS don`t do that again.

I think 5:00pm to 6:00pm EST is the most reasonable time for every one.

Yes, I put a message up there seeking Euro time-zone organizers. Do you want to head that up? 20:00 GMT is 4pm EST, correct? That would be a good weekend time because it's likely that NA players could also play with Euro to boost the numbers.

20:00 get is the middle of the afternoon for the whole United States. Most people here are working. I was the one who picked the time. It's not set in stone, but it's the day after the patch, at a time I think represents the largest section of MWO players. If response is good, no reason we can't do both

Nope doing both do not work well, we did that before.
At 6:00 pm everybody are back already in home if they want to. What do you propose is freaking 3:30 in the morning for every one except YOU and fellow NAs. So don`t be so egoistic and change time to more reasonable for everyone.

Here's some science for you:
Posted Image

This is a chart showing the global peak times based off the analytics.

Further showing how much it sucks to be in australia, as their 'peak times' is the games dead zone.

The 'best times' would be somewhere between 17:00 UTC and 05:00 UTC, with the 'highest' between 21:00 to 23:00 UTC for the greatest spread of players.

And there's nothing stop things from happening outside of that either.

930 EST is 30 min before one of the peak times on this chart. Look... I started the ball rolling and I don't think it's egotistical to pick a time me and most players I know can attend. Not even a middle of the night situation, a physical inability to be there because of work.

Nope I see 22:00 GMT is best on the chart.

I think 23 GMT is best of all.
Is menage able for everyone, even for Australian.

I don't want to get in a passing match about this. I told a large swath of people to convene on my units comms. There's not a good reason to pick a time that accommodates all the euros that play in the evening there. There should be plenty of interest in Stock to go around with this patch

yep Australia does suck for most things like this, crappy internet, timezone *******, everything costs 25% more..... the amount of money i would have spent if this game had regional pricing....

I would assume that it's meant to go on for longer than 20-30 minutes, so a time period is what's required.

So something like, 21:00 UTC till 00:00 UTC (a 3 hour space) gives a good amount of time for people to convene and play in.

And there's nothing saying that people can't turn up earlier, or keep going later than that!

So long as there's 2 people with Premium time you can keep playing with anything from 2 to 23 players, and at 24+ you only need one person with premium time.

21:00 UTS seams to work best for euro, but I think some sort of compromise is 22:00 to 23:00, so the NAs will have more time to get home, euros not to fall sleep on their keyboard and Astralians to wake up in the morning.

23:00 UTC = 18:00 EST = 7:00 Aus

At 23 euro folks do not sleep yet, at 18 you are beck to home, at 7 you can get up.

To some degree, but there's a reason the peak starts earlier (around 17:00-18:00UTC).

At 11PM UTC/GMT it's generally the END of our play time, a lot of people will have look at finishing off due to work in the morning (having to get up at 7-8am) and in Europe, it's +1 so people will already had to have been heading off, though some will be about. Sure, if you don't have work in the morning, or a different work schedule, it's probably not an issue, but if you're a lot of people, this is not a good start time.
This means they get 1-3 matches maybe.

In the US, it's the start of their full peak time, people have got home and want to relax / play, so 18:00EST is the start of the US's peak, and it'll keep going for several hours - until 23:00EST, which is where that drops off because it's time to head to bed for work in the morning.
23:00UTC is an American-centric start time, which is rather inconvenient

The best 'universal' start time, would be around 20:00 or 21:00 UTC, running till midnight 00:00 UTC - 2-3 overlapping hours for each major region.

I'm just bummed that anyone checking this topic out with genuine interest in stock mechs is just going to see our bickering. Really ruins what should be a triumphant moment for our little niche community.

Also, we will be creating considerable confusion by changing the time at this point. I think another Stock Mech Mayhem event at a Euro centric time on a different day is the way to go

It's not so much bickering as... Jaeger Gonzo being Jaeger Gonzo...
Though it does hurt the whole reason wee made a new thread.

We can probably get a mod to clean it up if we ask nicely.

But yeah.

Starting at 20:00-21:00 UTC, running for 3-4 for the core time would be solid, and allow for a reasonable spread of people across the peak time.

Hell, even just 'leaving it open' from 21:00 UTC through 04:00 UTC (7 hours) with rotating hosts / drop leads would allow for nice global access across the entire peak period.
