I think they're concerned about how easy it would be to layer certain numbers to make SS and 卐 symbols on a mech.

Some guesses about the announcement are getting a little enthusiastic which is great!
I assume he understands that he is setting the community up for disappointment with this sort of teasing, right? Is it that he just doesn't care? Or could it actually be that he doesn't understand that the "enthusiasm" people are showing is because they are famished for any sort of new content other than more mechs?

However, the ability to do this...

Is fine?
Doing cr@p like that should be a general rule violation... with the process of: Reported > Emailed and told to remove offending decal within x hours, if you are seen using it in the next x hours account banned.

It's not gonna happen guys!, its a silly pipe dream!.
Switching engines, maybe. Updating to a newer verion of Cryengine though? totally within reason, and they wouldn't have to remake the entire game.

But, what about a Jenner IIC hero?
I feel as if the reveal is either about "a new game" that they've spent their time on (again) or just more hero mechs for the existing IIC packs and Resistance packs... like a BK hero.

Ok, I'll bite. That symbol would appear to be the Star of David with an eye. Since I am ignorant of the symbolism I looked on the internets and they tell me that this is a traditional ward against the "evil eye". Where's the offensive nature? I admit to being ignorant when it comes to religious iconography but I don't understand the above as an issue. I mean the undertaker badge has a cross (presumably a crucifix in the manner of a head stone) so it can't just be religious symbology that is the offense. Help me out here.

Never gonna happen. Imagine the outcry of those who purchased at the old, higher prices recently...within the last year...ever. Prices may go up, they aint ever going down.
Games drop in price all the time. Heck i bought BF4 for $20 a month after it came out. They should really lower a lot of mech prices since buying old mechs now doesnt come with early access which is a big reason to spend real money. Could probably make more money too since more would pay $ instead of saving cbills up.

I would hope that they learned their lesson the first time when they tried to make a new "universe to explore" so to say...

It's a small content item, which means it will be bought with MC. A new mech (including the flea) would be too big of content as it takes up 99% of their resources to come out with one. A new game mode is also too big of content which wouldn't fit. New game mechanics are also too large, despite being small content. New map or a redux of one is out of the question.
So you may be asking yourselves, what could it possibly be?
We are finally getting, due to "popular" request: The Bucket (cockpit item). There will be ordinary ones that you can buy, but only one golden one you can earn through events.
You're welcome everyone.

Pretty much all there is to it. Religion related iconography is apparently not OK unless it is the region's largest minority's religion. *shrug*

Russ said going to Cryengine 5 would be just as much work as swapping to a different engine altogether, so all bets are off.
