How is it iconic?

It's iconic for the time frame that many Battletech fans like to pretend doesn't exist. So basically a sub-fandom favorite, with a few people who liked it from MW4 thrown in (Though it's appearance in that game is in no way 'iconic').

Personally, I find it a bit lame. It's the classic 'upgrade' where they slap a couple extra tons on, upgrade the size of the weapon and add a number to the end.

But my favorite mechs are the ones that are in and out of universe failures, and the goofiest mechs, both in concept and in appearance, so I try not to judge.

EDIT: We could also argue over what the term 'iconic' means and if the Mk. II actually qualifies, but it seems petty so I personally wont.

Honestly they just need to release it already. If it's announced after dec they will just get the money from that mech pack from me. If it's announced before then PGI gets my support again. (That means I go back to owning and buying every top tier package).

Honestly I don't know how anyone can say no to the Mad Cat MK II. Then I remember people pilot panthers or worse. So to each there own I guess.

I am uninterested in that POS clone. Diamond Shark should ashamed of themselves for that low-quality knockoff. The Rakshasa was better.

If by best, you mean one of the most uninspired and boring mech ever put into a TRO, then I suppose I can both understand, and pity you. Posted Image

Oh, I'm well aware about the Rakshasa's past. Doesn't mean I care.

"One of"

As for the Blood Asp being added to MWO it will be interesting to see how they add that mech with its face sticking out saying shoot here. Not sure how they will do hitboxes for that protrusion. Alex is amazing though so I have faith. I mean the weed whacker looked good for how bad it was in both art and as a mech.

No, too far in the future. The MKii didn't even start on development until 3061 and was released in 3066. It's 3052-53 right now.

One of the delays to advancing the timeline is latter weapons on both IS and Clan make the current weapons look like pop-guns. TTKs on RAC's, ATMs, Arrow IV, Heavy Gauss (27-29 damage), Heavy Lasers, etc., are fast even when the mechs in the games are much tougher than MWO's. And they are literally in the next wave of content and all present by 3058.

The Timberwolf MKII huh ?
Are you one of those smelly Diamond Shark traders ?

Thats exactly what we need.
A tech downgrade (its not an Omni but a second line) of an overaged 2nd gen Omnimech has been already rendered obsolete by the Nightgyr and NovaCat in that timeline.
And btw it has only 2 variants with tech that is already implemented in MWO.
Since Russ pretty much stated there will be no major real content update in the forseeable future....
No MADCAT MKII for you.

Oh My God.

Mad Cat Mk. II will drop whenever Russ feels like it. Timeline is not holding the Mk. II back because its stock loadout has weapons that are in game. Period.

Same goes for you. Have you completely missed the fact that over half of the Marauder IIC's variants are made up? Climb out from under that rock you are living under. All that matters is the primary loadout has weapons that are in game. The Mad Cat Mk. II will drop whenever Russ feels like it. There is nothing else holding it back, it doesn't need new tech.
