So this looks like a Highlander IIC with more energy instead of ballistics? Maybe higher arms like *ALL* assaults should have? No thanks.

It's definetely Battlemech. Was based on King Crab, inspered clan Hell Horses to make Nova (omni).
I am surprised there is no variant with higher engine cap, and even more surprised PGI kept mech's spirit - invented variants are in line with the TT design (unlike the abominations they invented for some other mechs)

Seems like Supernova will be our clan 90 ton battlemech.
Take a look at the hero, and you'll know why.
sad... I know.

Looking at it realistically, it's a love product of a Highlander and a Warhawk, and I can't say Supernova inherited their best genes. I guess, I'll wait for the quirks to be revealed before buying.

-- Mech are no content
-- Maps are no content
They are the framework or basis of this game.
-- Missions
-- Storylines to play
-- Game modes
Do some real DLCs...would have never though to say this...but even EA-Games does it better.

Oh well, I've been experiencing heat shutdowns since beta. Sometime this millenia I should learn patience. 'till then I'll just get used to it.

Its enough to piss off the pope.
But seriously though, I am going to buy the **** out of it. I am not a fan of lasers (I prefer dakka KGC's and KDK's) but I have been wanting the SuperNova for a very, very long time.
Maybe one of these days you can finally get around to making the KGC hero. I would like the clan buster, but I would prefer the 010, because I think torso mounted PPC's and SRM6's would be just the right amount of crazy.

I cant help but be wary of low hard point assault 'Mechs these days. The Warhawk and DireWhale just don't carry their weight as well as the KDK, with its much higher mounted hard points. And this is smack in middle between the two in weight it doesn't seem to improve much on either of them.
Complaints aside, the Stalker-ish looking -A variant is interesting as well as the Broiler; being basically a Clan tech KingCrab. Just wish the KingCrab variant wasnt locked all the way at the end of the price spectrum

I kinda know it won't happen... even from the beginning.
not having Mad Cat MKII is not a big deal for me.
But I would love to have it.

im not exactly sure if this mech will do well in GH or ED... Seems useless in both...
Honestly, how well will it do versus a dire wolf, kodiak... Or even the upcoming marauder iic? All three of those mech chassis seem better in both GH and ED...
I honestly cant see the hype of this mech... Other then its name sounds cool...
