The new map of Terra Therma. Bigger, better. Still hot.

I found the detail that they put into this map just simply amazing. I've only played a couple of matches on this map and have found some areas to be somewhat dark but otherwise enjoyable. Still this adds needed flavor and depth to said region. I am not used to having to manover along walkways or platforms so this is a new challenge. So far I think the map was well done.

I like the way the ground floor altitude shifts up and down more than any map they've done so far.

Step in the right direction. FW needs that type of map improvement badly.

I rate it Mordor/10. Seriously, it looks even more like Mordor than it's previous incarnation. Now what would make me really happy is if Polar Highlands got a similar makeover at Christmas that made it be something other than LRM Hell. Or some brand spanking new maps, I don't think anyone would object to that.

The action isn't forced to the same spot, but in my experience, it is still forced to a spot. Granted, there is a bit more maneuverability there for all players, but as a slow *** assault that wants to brawl I still have to walk around the world to make it happen or pray to God my team can poke better than theirs.

Many are still learning the map. I have had less battles happen in the E7, or is it E6 choke point now than when it first came out.

Not bad, all in all said .

One question :
Would it be possible (and even wanted by PGI AND the community) to include the old versions of all maps into the pool as well ?

Map is interesting, BUT! It is so different than the old version. The fun of the old map version has stayed with the old map version Posted Image

Should've just added this map to the rotation under a different name.

By changing all the maps. they are gearing them towards the new Assault mode...But what about leaving some maps for the brawl matches???

For Example: The brawl fun of "Frozen City Night" was never matched by the "New Frozen City".

I love the new map. I disliked the old one. The heat is great because it causes people to manage their builds a little better. I leveled up my new Hellbringer HBR-F (laser vomit) while doing the event and trying to pick TT every time. I now consider it one of the best maps in the game.

P.S. Leave Polar Highlands alone. It is another one of the best maps in the game.

I love the detail and the lighting. The sound effects at the vortex are great. Good battles, with a lot of movement and cover. Less focus on caldera chokepoints. Kudos to the level designers.

I agree, though I do like the new maps as well.

I like it, but it's smaller. Liked the old one much better.

I think the new Terra Therma might be the best map overall. It looks good, switching vision modes is useful but not required, there isn't THE spot everything happens, nice possibilities for flanking, multiple playstyles possible. I really love it! Sadly, after the event nobody wants to play on hot maps (again) :-(

I know this late in the posting but the past few weeks of been crazy for me, & I have not had a chance to play the new TERRA THERMA map very much. Having now had more than a dozen matches on the map, I have to say I love this new map! And, to me it is a new map not just a remake of the old TERRA THERMA. I find it wonderful that there are at least a half dozen engagement areas on this map depending on where the teams decide they want to meet up. Given the differences between assault, domination, and skirmish play, there can be practically a new engagement each time you play this map during the day. Great to see this new map content, and I hope to see a lot more maps get redesigned like this, or have new maps with this type of design/engagement elements in mind. Way to go PGI!

Cancer
The suck
The old one was better
Hot is ok
No fight is not ok.
Garbage

Sorry to sugarcoat it, but this map is not fun.

In fact, it's so bad, it makes me think we should be able to
choose to block maps. It's so bad that non-participation
by quitting match becomes the best option regarldess of
reports.

It's at most 15 mins. Just play it through; the map almost never gets chosen, anyways. Let the people who like the map have their fun!
