I actually play a pretty even distribution of Clan vs IS so while I tend to enjoy the lore behind the Clans a bit more, I am actually pretty unbiased. The reason I speak out against the whole Clan OP commotion is that I honestly feel that Clans are starting to be become inferior to IS mechs in most categories, especially the Omnimechs which are massively restricted in their customization. I think where people fail to realize the issue is that if the Clan Omnimech happens to be fairly well optimized, something like the Timberwolf, it preforms well but most aren't optimized and unlike an IS mech, they can't be modified to become optimized. Honestly I feel, aside from a few mechs, if they continue to weaken the Clan mech more, we will have IS superiority and any semblance of balance is going to be broken. I have already swore off buying any more Clan Omnimechs because I don't find them worthwhile anymore.

Hopefully you bought the Night Gyr because it sure is fun. Can't fault you for not getting the Sadbacker.

so from a vocal minority and social active subgroup of the game you took those even willing to participate here and make a even smaller subgroups opinion rating mechs probably involving a ton of salt as well.
Thats more guestimating in it's outcome than even PGI's way to badly analyse their statistics.

but still kinda interesting to see what a sub-subselection of people think.

whats wrong with the sadbacker, i am sure a lot people will love the higher durability scr way of streakspam possible, Ok got a bit worse hitboxes, but who cares, the 6ssrm6 spam will be real.

Sadbacker.

Really? That's the best nickname you can come up with for it? Stuff like the SadCat, Mr. Gargles, and the Suckonner at least make sense. The Sadbacker is just you replacing half the name with "sad". Admittedly I have no idea what to call it myself, but you need to find a better term for it.

how about lurmbacker, theres quite a lot hardpoints for the T4 lrm crowd to utilise. And I can not deny that chainstreamign lrm 5's off it is going to be a laod of fun paired with it's speed.

Okay, so I performed a stats lookup on all of the people who submitted to the poll, and grabbed their average match scores since June. I split our sample into two halves - the higher scoring players, vs the lower scoring players.

Here is the comparison between how these two groups rated mechs.

The average ratings of both groups appear to be nearly identical. However, the higher scoring players almost universally agreed more closely on the scores they submitted, and the lower scoring players had a much wider variance (more disagreement).

Also, this is what our sample looks like compared to the entire playerbase,

Our sample of players had an average of 259 match score. The global average match score of the playerbase is somewhere around 205.

We didn't really need stats to reaffirm this, but thanks! :D :P

TBQH, if you have a WHM-6R you really don't need the Black Knight. These days, I would even prefer a Jester to a Black Knight.

WHM-6R with 2xLBX10 + 4ML or 2xAC10 + 4ML are really good and painful alpha strike dot builds Posted Image Used to think the 6D was the best variant, but now I find the 6R is the best by far (do not have the hero).

Too bad the 6R is not a 30% cbill mech.

If you buy Collector's Pack then it is. The WHM-6R(S).

Lol! That's a poking-build though, I have no second thoughts dropping with dual UAC5+ dual PPC. The IS UAC wasn't nerfed too mucn, same jam chance and only 1 sec more duration, so over all a ~7% nerf to average dps.

Yea, it's still good, indeed.
I would like to have that 7% back, tho... in brawling situation I'd feel it more steady

No jam chance changes to IS UAC/5 except quirk reductions in the previous patch. It gained a second of jam duration and 0.5 heat per round is all.
