It was also piloted by a woman (canonically).

SJW jokes?
That's kind of redundant because SJWs are a joke already Posted Image

The term "SJW" has basically gone into the same section of my mind as "Commies", where if I hear someone using the term seriously, I tune them out. Last time I broke that advice, someone called me a SJW for pointing out that yes, you shouldn't tell someone you're going to **** them in a creepy letter you left at their doorstep, and no, you shouldn't act surprised when the police get involved. That, and spray painting the symbol of Godwin's Law on their house is a bad plan as well.

If MWO had mechs like this:
  • my niece might play it
  • some grown men would cry
  • some creepy men would adore it (i.e. Snuggles, Bishop, etc)

there are idiots at all ends of the political spectrum. like the people who when presented with the choice between a politician and a sociopath, pick the sociopath. or the people at the other end of the spectrum who think its the trump apocalypse. the election was full of bad winners and bad losers. im of the opinion let it ride and see what comes of it. though i dont know how you can make america great again with an utter and total lack of great americans (and im not talking about the government or elected officials).

The only meaning anyone can ever get out of the term SJW is that the person using it, either to describe themselves, or describe someone else, is an idiot and can be safely ignored. It's not even funny anymore, if it ever was.

I don't think it was ever funny.

I think the word is 'terrifying'.

Have you seen the Urbanmech?!?!?

Definitely looks like last girlfriend after she let herself go.

If I had to pick a mech that would be feminine in the sense that it has a sleek profile and clean lines (think Porsche Boxster), I would pick the Ebon Jaguar.

With no melee weapons to swing, large arms and a brawny chest could be considered impractical.

When you swing a melee weapon a large amount of the power comes from your hip and leg motion. Well developed arm and chest muscles are definitely useful, but they aren't a prerequisite. Hell, part of the point of weapons is to be an equalizer for people that aren't as physically powerful, granting one-shot kill capacity to those that would not otherwise have it.

That said, I'm always surprised by the fact that when this topic comes up (once or twice a year, it seems), no one mentions the Morrigan.

I disagree with that. The upper muscle body will do most of the job with the lower back and abdominal muscle acting as stabiliser. Inertia doesnt have much a role to play. Just swing a maul at a stake in the ground or axe at a log or a samurai sword like a baseball bat in the air(if you wana break your wrist) its harder than it looks to do repeatedly. Not that i think that you need any kind of forces to hit a head but i just disagree with the hip/leg inertia thing.
