I cannot complain about much of anything here although we still have to wait for some stuff that I thought was going to be released in December.
Skill tree revamp? Yes, it was much needed and eliminating the quirks is the way to go about it. Let the players make the decisions on what enhancements are the most important to them. Clan Mechs will have a lot less options than the IS Mechs if they currently have no quirks. This is a good thing. Let my Mech Technician tweak my Mech in the MechBay to work the way I want it too. Heck, yes!
FW changes including rolling some of the QP assets that are already developed into Faction Play to solve some of the monotony of playing the same pinch point maps over and over. Good move. Utilize the stuff that you have developed to improve the Faction Warfare battles. I was one of those that suggested this so how can I complain?
Bucket consolidation. It is a necessary evil of low population. The population simply cannot support all the factions so making two factions but allowing each unit or house to keep their tags and banners is the best compromise possible. Special events that are choreographed by PGI will play out much like the battle scenarios in BattleTech table top with certain House, Clans or units battling each other for worlds or segments of the map with associated prizes.
Escort mode. This or convoy has been requested by many members of this community for a long time. I am worried it has not been seen on PTS but excited that it will be in game in two weeks.
More decals. More old Mechs that can finally use all the camo patterns. More quirk adjustments in preparation for the new skill tree.
Skill tree, Assault Mode (Base Capture), IK, more FP changes and a future SP game announced.
Many complain the game is stagnant and has become old and stale. Well, change is coming. I chose to remain cautiously optimistic that these changes will make MWO better and more interesting to play. If they do then I will be here this time next year. If they do not then I will not be.
Edit: By the way PGI, thank you for the apology for some of the missteps in 2016. Hopefully, you have learned from them and 2017 will go smoother.
