Still can't bring myself to buy this mech with cash, MW5 it makes me wonder how much effort they will put to MWO.
So c-bills it'll be.

Wonder what will happen to IS marauder once it's quirks are gone. By most accounts this one will propably be superior (more than the 10t) due the fact of Clan XL alone

exactly how dependable it's always been. and Clan Tech's always superior, it's just their pilots that suck.

honestly, Quirks period were never meant to be long-term. it was a stopgap measure, which is why, apart from a few things that will probably just get directly rolled into a chassis, rather than variants, they'll all be gone in a few months. at the end of the day, piloting skill is really what matters most, followed by Hardpoint layout and hitboxes. All quirks ever have been are crutches. the new piloting trees'll at least let us specifically "quirk" a mech to our playstyles, rather than the old system doing the opposite, which promotes non-variety and stagnation.

I just want to highlight that this is possibly the cutest idea ever. I want one too.

"IIC" stands for second generation, Clan. They are newer versions of the mechs the SLDF took with them into exodus. hence, the older, rounder look to them.
*but Kodiak and Supernova are simply non-omni mechs built by clans*

I'm asking myself that same question, Rampage. Truly, we Hell's Horsemen need our Decals.

Couldn't you guys have shown the crusader (bundled) paintjob at least?

Also, CHH - what, no one else can paint flames on their mech? That paint job has been around long before battle tech ever existed, so by the time you reach 30xx.... =p

that's just Cockpit Glass. All mechs have that if you don't turn it off.

Didn't show the quirks, because there wasn't a lot to show. Max yaw is 70+20 on all but one, which is 70+30. You'll be able to see more on Phil's stream/video on Monday.

Hmmm...
The SRM-4s in arms look really good.

I do wonder if that continues into larger launchers, like SRM-6s and LRM10s+ Posted Image
(The tucked-in Goose waffles look pretty good too. Reminds me of Shimmies drawing of a Mad Cat mk2)

Damn.
That does look good, don't it?

The missile hardpoint geometry has been really improving since the last few mechs, hasn't it? I mean, if you compare it to some of the older mechs (especially ones that didn't come with dynamic geometry to begin with, like the Dragon), the difference is staggering to say the least.

Here's hoping this trend continues (and maybe flows through to the older mechs in the form of consequent geometry passes, because some mechs could really use it).

Thanks. thats... borderline for this mech, given the gigantic STs - one flank is likely to be the end of it, but we will see how it plays out

This really ... hurts. Why 70? Why not 80? It doesnt have all that many high mounted slots.
I bet you guys didnt want to repeat the Kodiak fiasco with it having 80 degrees yaw AND quirks initially.
Now you overreact again and give it no quirks (which is fine) but also close to abysmal torso yaw angle.
The MAD IIC will be good but it wont be that good to deserve 70 degrees.

Well... whatever. My words wont change anything anyway.
