Anyway;
1: "HEY! Theres locust on our base! We need 4 or more mech to hunt him down eventhough we're slow as hell"
2, 3, 4, 5: "CHARGE!!"

If you aren't playing to alpha strike 40+ damage every time you hump a hill or turn a corner, you dont belong in T1, because thats all you are going to see. If you want to enjoy the game, stick to tier 2 or 3.

How can be possible people don't understand yet this-----> "DEAD MECHS CANNOT CAP".?????
FIRST kill enemies. Always.
(Does anyone ever meet Slepnir (not the mech)? )

In large maps, one/two LIGHT mechs doing cap work can achieve victory almost by themselves.

I'm pretty sure the MM will just go "**** it" And grab whoever if it's been searching for long enough, also IIRC PSR matchmaking is very very relaxed in the group queue/turned off entirely.

Very true, like in my yesterdays match, I've defended a point together with one light, resulted in killing 5 opponents, then moved on and captured another point and killed 2 more, 7 total. Yet we lost, cause even though i killed of all remaining enemies and held 2 points by myself (and 1 light helping me), the rest of the team failed so hard at capping, we lost

Have a night of matches like this, and you start to doubt the existence of intelligent life on earth.
Just makes you a sad panda when 8 of your team can't even break the 100 damage mark by the end of the game...
<sigh>

Yet, you see 2-3 heavies and assaults sitting in a far off corner while the team is on the other side of the map fighting for minutes and getting slaughtered - but there is no chance in hell that those 2-3 mechs would move their asses to support the team.
And sorry for the bias but it seems that heavies and assaults are lately suffering from an enormous angst syndrom and not moving to the front or pushing...despite lighter mechs lead the charge
Then the classic: idiots who move up behind you and take your light mech as a shield for incoming damage. Of course when you peek and want to back down you cannot move back and eat 1-3 alphas - and whoopdidooo it was most of the time again a heavy or assault mech which was responsible for that

So many is the time that would happen to me, and I'd turn around and alpha whomever it was in the face, reasoning of my logic:
That fast 'mechs used to have a tactic of sneaking behind you, stopping so that you couldn't back up so that you'd be at the mercy of their friends in front of you, so the reasonable thing to assume is that it's an enemy blocking you, turn and shoot immediately so that you can get the flying f-bomb out of there.
Sadly, the cry babies who would normally get 'taught' a lesson by their teammates won out and are protected by PGI, so their idiot behavior continues unabated.
NOW, if we actually had KNOCK DOWN, that probably wouldn't be a problem (at least for those of us that regularly pilot assaults).

He finished with 77 damage, single-handedly losing the match for our team by A.) not being in the fight and B.) pure lack of ability.
Tier 1, folks, ggclose.

You obviously don't know what you're talking about as your over generalization indicates. People in T1 play the builds they want to play. There are just more experienced, and more talented players in that tier than the lower tiers on average....thus, you take a risk by taking a less than optimal mech.
But the better players do better in LRM mechs (Jman), ****** platforms and franken-fun builds because they happen to be taking advantage of their experience/talent to win in even stinker mechs. It's unfortunate that you got some cranky people on comms, but....as there are more experienced players, with a different level of expectations, unfortunately some of them have a much lower tolerance for dumbshit.
Make no mistake. There are horrible players in T1 as well, which makes it all the worse for everyone, as they don't enjoy being "bad" and players with higher expectations are less tolerant of quirky builds, bad games etc. But the overall performance average trends higher, the higher your tier.
Folks expect other players to know better than to do some of the dumb **** that they do, by the time they've reached that tier. So....tolerance for dumbshit is much lower. Not excusing the rants mind ya, just trying to explain with it a bit.

Eh **** happens, I get pretty grouchy close to bed time sometimes, and for that I am sorry. Sometimes its hard not to get frustrated though.. like when your team splits up for "caps" and the other team balls up together and just steam rolls your team because their playing the caps, and then people say "I've been playing this game for 2 years, I know how to play conquest" when they clearly do not. Or when you have an ENTIRE lance of assault mechs that all go to cap a point. Its like... hardcore facedesk.
Worst thing is when they are voting for Mining Conquest, you are literally begging at the beginning of the match for your team not to spread across all caps...
and then literally the first answer you get is " vote skirmish if you dont want to play the objective". Moments later, you see three lances spreading over 3 caps while ignoring your desperate attempts to prevent a 0:12 stomp.
Alpha lance is the first to walk into 12 enemy mechs. They get curbstomped with less than 50 dmg each. At this moment, the game is already lost. Enemy murderball turns, mows down the next lance in a 12v4 within seconds. The whole time your team can read your desperate attempts to make them stop capping... But they are somehow thinking "nope, f*ck this dude, we are doing well here".
After a clean 0:12 loss, you tell your team "see what capping got you?" and the answer you get literally is "capping is the main objective, stfu".
One would think those "but muh conquest is for capping" dudes would learn something after getting torched on small maps like mining over and over again. But nope.
