Clan: win 80% of matches in a pug. +250k credit mission win bonus

IS: Win 20% of missions, +300k credit mission win bonus

I didn't realize the bonus mission payouts didn't happen when you lose. Why would any IS solo /small group player do a 35 minute (sometimes) cw drop over a couple QP missions?

Can't wait till my contract is up so I can switch back to skill stack/op mech stacked Clans!

You couldn't post this in one of the other bazillion threads dealing with the subject? You had to start a new one?

He's trying to form a nation of Salt with no boundaries, apparently.

Sure i can post it in a thread talking about payouts for playing Inner sphere, please direct me to the post where it answers why players would be motivated to be inner sphere when presented with the situation given.

Why not join a big IS unit? That way you get to win (sometimes) and get big bonuses. I joined (MS), and when we are in IS side, we tend to win more than we lose.

There were genuinely some fun and good performing IS builds but as time passes, the two sides starts to overlap each other more and more.

Although frail, you could bring 2Gauss+4-5ML in a heavy 'Mech which is the Warhammer but now the Night Gyr just beats it in every category.

Agreed. But why wouldn't someone in a small group just play group queue? Much better rewards and odds of winning.

FashionWarrior: Online.

Totally agree, though.
IS mechs look BETTER.

Clans are sleek, modern and boring!
IS are rugged, jagged, chunky and industrial!

Inner Sphere have tougher mechs, better LRMs and AC's incredible LBX mechs. Play to your strengths and you win. Clan mechs come with little use for Mechlab so newer players will find them to be an easier start. Just fill-up with lasers and go really. That makes Clan PUG friendly, but I.S. mechs are inherently better if you can read the info in Mechlab.

I mean really, a lot of IS mechs can run dual LB10X with recycles of 1.3 seconds. That's just an example of what's available if you pick the right mech variants. Some IS mechs are bad or mediocre, Archer (hitboxes), Orion (bad quirks, few hardpoints), but the Clan has a lot of flops too. I only see the mechs rated by damage done, not survivability. Maybe what is needed is just a pure K/D chart for new players?

It would seem that if IS are not doing so well it would be more down to clan groups vs IS pugs than some perceived imbalance in regards to IS mechs.

It has been proved so many times that IS has the edge with quirks... They also have the edge in many other areas without quirks!

I don't do CW anymore due to the fact that as a pug we get olled more matches than we could win due to facing IS pre-mades..... See it works both ways!

Happy Christmas!

Because the Free Rasalhague Republic is arguably the most underdog faction. Hell, it doesn't even appear or mentioned in most stuff. Remember that Battletech merch they were selling? I don't see the FRR in there and I'm a little mad tbh.

Anyone can be a Green Chicken or a Red Puppy because hurr duuurr best Clan in lore kerensky xdd, but the thrill, the excitement of being on the losing side is fun. You can take our worlds. You can take our capital planet, but you will NEVER take away our fighting spirit. We will stand our ground and face this torrent called Clanners.

Though I sure would like some Rasalhague/Ghost Bear Dominion.

Played long enough that there really isn't anything I want to buy with c-bills atm or need to level the skill tree so I run my IS alt until my unit switches over to IS in a couple weeks. I love a good underdog fight, makes those wins feel so great!

This is looking like a great thread so far. Needs a few "MGs OP!" and "Smoke Jaguar did nothing wrong!" folks in here, and it will be perfect.
