The Annihilator is doing well. Nostalgia is a big reason but I hope you guys realize it will be absolutely terrible in game.

Well we can hope that the Clams get the Anni Posted Image

It might be better than the Scorch depending on its profile though.

The timber wolf profile is pretty garbage and the mad cat mkII profile would be very similar; the only reason the t-wolf is good is because of cXL and tech + speed + good omni pod options

Haha not even clan tech would save the Annihilator.

The remaining unseen. Wasp/Stinger, Crusader, Longbow. Also want Daikyu because it's one of the 3055+ mechs I always had a soft spot for. Don't care if it will be good or not, I still want it!

I believe in spaying and neutering your mech.

Apart from the lore nerd being upset over the ears bring removed. Remove missiles boxes from both of those and you get pretty decent hitboxes on the TBR.

Iunno, even without the missile pods or TBR-A 3E torso, I think the hitboxes are extremely easy to isolate compared to some other mechs, and the geometry doesn't help it spread damage naturally too well.

The A torso is only good for long range poking imo, again that's like the missile box, it does.not.matter if SRM or LRM. If you ran the TBR with no ears it has decent hitboxes. .

I voted it because I personally like the look of the Annihilator, even though I have no nostalgic ties to Mechwarrior 3 nor any other games it was featured in. I don't know why but it reminds me of some kind of giant ancient egyptian god like Ra. Would be a cool skin theme for it IMO if PGI could pull it off.

What honestly surprised me is that the Mad Cat Mk.2 tied with the Rifleman IIC for a bit in the polls. I'm glad to see that people want decent clan battlemechs in the game besides personal nostalgic value.

Clansmen vote for what will be good and need, IS vote for what is nostalgic :P

Does seem the IS besides the Stinger/Wasp and Annihilator are spread pretty evenly.

And that's another reason why IS will continue to get trounced up and down the ball court for the foreseeable future...

Just put in the Bandersnatch and the Gunslinger this year. Fill out the remaining 5-6 slots of the year with whatever.

The poll results are truly horrifying. I mean people vote for the Strider, a Mech depending on missiles and energy weapons while having locked SHS. And the Spector, a good light Mech for the IS, is not even on the list.
Same with Annihilator and Cerberus. A totally useless Mech is voted for while a much better one is not even in the poll.

People always complain about PGI ignoring the community. Well, the poll results don't reflect well on us and our understanding of the game as a community.

The Mad Cat Mk. II has ~cockpit level arms which will certainly help its case, and it has a different shape of torso compared to the Timber. Of course, we won't know for sure until we see Alex's rendition of it.

Yeah the Annhilator is dreadfully slow, I wonder if they would break the engine rule and make a 300 available. That would help at least.

Yes, they would be similar in their profiles.

Okay, you are right.

The single important part is that the Mad Cat Mk. II has cockpit-level big-enough arms which shield the majority of the torso from damage coming from the side.

Alright I'll bite and take the bait. How exactly is the Rifleman IIC a bad mech that's not wanted? (Not trying to stir up an argument, but I'm willing to hear the opinions of the opposite side that criticize it)
