The only useful thing I can see the Uziel doing is gonna be a strong poptart with dual ppc's in the Medium mech department.

The top 4 (technically 5) mechs are all nostalgia votes but almost all of them are outclasses by existing or within timeline options.

I don't see it being that good at poptarting. Its arms aren't exactly high and they are super wide apart. And honestly, the mech doesn't look that good.

I've always loved how the Uziel looked. It's actually up there as one of my favorite mediums. I mean, look at this thing!



And those arms are around cockpit level. Sure, it's a bit wide, but for poptarting you don't really need much side clearance anyways.

Because I never liked how the Blackjack looked, and it doesn't come stock with DHS and a 300 XL engine.

That right there is what helps make me want an Uziel. Plus, it would have a non-crap lore loadout, which is always a plus.

The Uziel's cockpit is also belly mounted, which means that before you see anything over the hill you are poptarting, someone will be plowing you with Gauss rifles and PPCs or a face full of dakka.

It's not too large of a top though on it, and it won't be crippling. Honestly, if you're poptarting right in front of where the enemy is already pointing, you're doing it wrong already.

With most of your torso showing before you can even see, let alone pick a target and aim, you are giving the bad guys every opportunity to notice you and shoot at you. Wouldn't even be CLOSE to as good as a BJ-3, let alone a HBK-IIC with 2 ER PPCs.

I was referring to the Blackjack, that does come with DHSs.

As for the Uziel... it's nice enough. The UZL-2S is good (The time frame is off, but the tech is alright and the whole chassis's time is off so screw it), but the UZL-3S is a scattered mess (Five separate weapon systems. Five) and has weapons we don't have. And the UZL-8S and the hero variants are straight up no-gos.

Personal preference... Bushwacker is coming. After that, my medium needs are pretty much met, outside of the Strider.

Just noticed that Tina thanked us for the poll.

That's just great. IS gets a bucket load of nostalgia fueled CRAP, and Clans get a nice nostalgia pick/drop deck filler (Fire Moth) followed by devastating beasts such as the Mad Cat Mk. II, Warhammer IIC, and Nova Cat.

I hate IS players.

On one those those, we are in agreement . The Sunder is the only mech I care about that you just mentioned.

Though it would be a hollow addition without the LB 20-X. Still would take it.
