Erm, what? The Vulcan is an anti-infantry mech (basically an overweight, less useful Firestarter) with it's only anti-armor weapon being a highly disappointing AC2.

Yeah, but the Nightstar is just another Gausszilla. The Lancelot is a 60 ton Heavy that moves at Light speeds, has all the high mounts, and served an interesting purpose in the lore.

EDIT: Also, Bishop Steiner did an absolutely fantastic redesign for the Lancelot back in 2013. Here he is, in all of his knightly glory.

Where did i say that i liked the Vulcan for its loadout?
I like mechs based COMPLETELY on their aesthetics.
I'm THAT vain of a person.

Besides, there's the Vulcan-5T that removes the AC/2 and adds 3 extra medium lasers and 2 tons of armor (which is my preferred Vulcan variant).

Clearly you don't know the Nightstar as well as you think. There's a variant that comes with a 380xl and the JJ variant has no hands so it'd be great for quad ultra5, etc.

I mean, if we look at the Lancelot the same way you looked at the Nightstar we'd say it's just an up engined Rifleman.
