New Light Is An Inner Sphere Light

The dark little corner of my troll brain hopes it's the Hollander because big gun lights are my happy place and, even though a Gauss torso light 'Mech with a barrel the size of Texas is pretty much a suicide pact with the PPFLD gods, I will never stop wanting to drive that stupid thing.

- Alt. Config. B A dangerous heavy laser configuration, the Hellion B has a Heavy Large Laser, four Heavy Medium Lasers, and a Heavy Small Laser. Added to all this laser power are three additional double heat sinks. Even with the extra heat sinks, the Hellion B will not last long firing all of its weapons. BV (1.0) = 1,043[2], BV (2.0) = 1,569[8]
- Alt. Config. C A heat efficient headhunter configuration, the Hellion C has an ATM 6 launcher, as well as four ER Medium Lasers that are integrated into a Targeting Computer for increased accuracy. BV (1.0) = 1,547[2], BV (2.0) = 2,095[9]
Not 20 tons, but a nasty little piece of work at 30.

That looks like an anime mech with beer kegs and a 10-pack of beer strapped to its shoulders.

Everything else are just more oversized energy boats.

I think it's a stretch to call the Owens an energy boat.
Hardlocked SHS kind of make the energy-boat role completely impossible on the Owens. Actually SHS make every role impossible in this game...That, and having barely any pod space or energy hardpoints.

I gave you an answer in the twitch stream earlier today, which is that I'll ask Paul, because yes, as some have pointed out, it's another department. It will also mean that any reply to this topic will be his.
I just like the blue hud more than amber
Honestly, a LOT of time goes into making mechs. When I was around 12 or 13, I spent an entire saturday afternoon and evening sitting there, pouring over an orthographic drawing of an AT-ST from a star wars manual, and drawing it in 3d (sadly the file's been lost, or I'd post it). I could have been playing Duke Nukem 3D instead! So yeah, it's not so much patience as passion, but it's so very rewarding to see a mech when it's finished. Regarding time, we get about 7 weeks to take a concept and turn it into a game ready model with normal maps, weapons, and some technical odds and ends.
you can ask, but I'll remain consistent with my lobbying based on personal preference, what looks cool, having something new to bring, and making sure everyone will actually enjoy it. I've said before I'm partial to the Kraken/Bane 3.
It's not often I get asked for my opinion on mech choice. I thank that was part of it being a more serious discussion than normal. I also know that HBS's mech pipline got locked in a while back. I was disappointed to learn that my Assassin wouldn't make it into their game when I talked to them at MechCon. The assassin was the first IS mech I've modelled, thus my first chance to get a mech I made into their game.
Here you go Mark.

You know, I actually would, if I wasn't absolutely worthless in a light mech.
Even considering that, I'm glad it's a light mech. We really needed it. I'm just sad it's not a Clan 20 tonner, since they need something like that, probably more then the IS needs a 'competitive' light.

Easy to produce, and then it looks like a double header
Or Valkyrie

Why couldn't they do all 3 in the same pack? I know the Wasp and Stinger are 20 tons, and the Valkyrie is 30, but they are really all the same gundam model; the Valkyrie is just a little more beefy. The Wasp and Stinger variants could be the main lower tier purchase, and the Valkyrie could be the Hero and Collectors pack.
Plus, they would all basically be mini P-Hawks...

Just like everyone asking for more heavies and mediums despite those being the most numerous classes by chassis variety and queue percentage must buy every single heavy or medium pack or become hypocrites and STFU forever.
Oh... wait a minute. Let me get my tiny violin. I'll hang it in the cockpit of my new light 'Mech, if it's one I'm willing to pay Realbucks for.

I've bought all the mech packs and have only asked for one mech... your point?
