Why would you link the math without telling us the max engine max speed resulting answer???

It's definitely *10.8 to convert to kph.
97.2 kph / 10.8 = 9
9 / 1.5 = 6
6 * 30 = 180 engine rating.

So for the 10F and 10N variants that can have a max engine rating of 285

285/30 (mech tonnage) = walk speed in hexes of 9.5
Which = run speed in hexes of 9.5 * 1.5 = 14.25
Converted to kph = 14.25 * 10.8 = 153.9kph

For the others which have the max engine rating of 255
255/30 = 8.5
8.5 * 1.5 = 12.75
12.75 * 10.8 = 137.7 kph

Keep in mind this is before speed tweek.

An other rendition of a 3025 classic that Alex did marvelously, very tempting indeed. Sadly I have to keep wallet closed.

Nice art, I noticed that last 3 new humanoid mechs have very long forearms. Anyway, I like when hardpoints are mostly in side torsos, can shield with arms, tho I'm not a big fan of completely ammo reliant mechs. Such a pity that the only variant with ECM has no JJ and only 4 missile hardpoints,
Rather stupid name for a hero mech(would be cool if we could switch hero names off/on), nice camo on it tho, also special variant has not bad camo, it is such a pity that only S variant can use it.

Nope, nothing for me.

After the Mech-Rescale the Lights are nearly as big as a Thunderbolt, and therefore die like flies !

And I dont wanna spend money to die like a fly.

can IS pilots drop 2 each in scouting mode after the tonnage is "adjusted" to 60?

After speed tweak, the variant with the 285 engine cap would go 165.4kph; according to the formula. That's freaking nuts.

Determining the speed and tonnage was much easier than going through all the math, since there is already a mech in smurfy with the correct engine ranges and tonnage.

SDR-5D is the same weight and has the same 255 engine cap.
Link even shows how much tonnage you will have left for weapons/cooling/etc.

SDR-5K
Same can be done for the 5k, with a 285 engine.
