I can't make heads or tails of what the issue is in this thread at this point...

None of that was anywhere listed or implied anywhere in this thread as far as I saw. Other than the OP, which you guys seem to be supportive of.

In one of my comments I stated as long as players play, meaning they don't do what Oberost said, such as staring at the sun or team killing, I have zero issues with anyone. I just hope however anyone plays is effective and if it's not it's not worth reporting or getting on a soapbox preaching how I think it should be done.

yes, but for some that apparently isn't good enough, Everyone must conform to whatever plan and any deviation is heresy.

Everyone gets a derp team in FW sometimes OP. It's always annoying to play a team game with people who are unwilling to put in even a minimum amount of effort but, well, you're not their mom and are not going to teach them the basic human courtesy they should have learned in 1st grade.

FW is *slightly* harder than QP. Slightly. This gives it a higher effort reward ceiling- that means it's possible, by taking a deck of good mechs and about the same level of coordination you use to not kill everyone when using a freeway on ramp or managing to not cut in line at the grocery store check out, to do even better than the people for whom that level of effort is an insane, unreasonable, elitist imposition that is EXACTLY LIKE FACISM... cuz yeah. That's not an absurdity.

FW is a bit more effort involved. It's all 12 v 12 but since FW has respawns the impact of teamwork is greater- sorta like if all weapons were PPFLD then there would be a greater premium on aiming.

However teamwork is, for some people, just like facism apparently. A cruel, unreasonable expectation - even though the game is always 12 v 12.

There are some sorts of crazy or stupid you can't fix. Ignore those. Some people are just new or shy or inexperienced. Give them all the help and consideration you can. Just because some people are so narcissistic they don't care about or take pride in screwing the other 23 people they're in a match with instead of going and playing a SP game doesn't mean we all have to be that kind of jackass.

You impact the people you play with because it's a team v team game. We can always try to be decent people, even if our teammates are not.

We are not good people per se, we are what we are because we have an education, culture and FEAR of the consequences of breaking our social codes. There is nothing of that on the internet.

The honor system doesn't work. Only the threat of physical violence and economic penalties really change a person's behavior (unless they choose to change themselves). Since neither of those motivating factors are present online, people act however they want.

I always imagine how it would be to drive in rush hour traffic on the freeway if everyone was allowed to open carry and shoot at other drivers. Sure, there would be more random deaths at first but I think it would work itself out and eventually everyone would drive around politely and on alert. A-holes might kill a few people on the road but they'd get gunned down themselves eventually.

Well his premise was wrong to begin with. It seems if you take a break from the game it negates anything you have done before or since.
