I like some of them, my finger twitch at a few.

Handy not having early adopters as I can now wait until I see how the skill tree, and the time jump tech effects the game

A little presumptuous, are we?

Nah the Black Knight is unique, but terrible. 2 Missile hardpoints.. in the arm? Compare to WHM-7S and its a huge down grade.
The ENF is barely even unique.
The King Crab is unique, but I think the hardpoint layout is awful, easily the WORST King Crab variant.

The rest are mediocre. The Zeus actually MIGHT be the best Zeus, which isn't exactly great, but the rest.. nah.

No they said there wouldn't be a mech pack announced in March.

For a split second i geeked out over the King Crab thinking this made it possible to have a KGC-000 wtih an additional 2 ballistic spots in the torso totaling 8 overall ...then i realised .... IS ..no omnipods Posted Image

I know the Urbie is not comp-play meta... but I have seen them roll so many bigs its funny, do not lump it in with the Vindy

So Close!

We had 2 chances for a 4-component ballistic IS assault to compete with the Direwolf and Kodiak... But, alas, the Inner Sphere cannot be allowed to mount 4 AC/10s. You almost had my money...

I already have a boosted Mauler and a boosted King Crab. We already have a 2 ballistic, 4 missile, 4 energy KC and you can't do much with the single ballistic component of the new KC. It's just a Boar's Head in a slumped stature.

The hero Mauler is just an undertonned Devestator.

Those were 2 great chances for 4-ballistic component Mechs... Too bad.

I'm disapointed with the hero Kingcrab. I was hoping for a symetrical ballistics variant and I got a ppc boat. The Kingcrab is my favorite mech, so, whatever. I'll probably buy it if it has adequate erppc quirks. Are we ever going to see a quad ac10 assult.
I changed my mind, I'm not going to buy it, the Kgc-0000 can mount 4ppcs on the shoulder, this hero pos is stuck with low slung energy mounts.

I'm sure they'll do an Annihilator at some point. Hopefully one with much higher than normal engine cap, like the Urbie :D STD200 engine stock... lol :D

My thoughts exactly. I'd like the Zeus the king crab or the crab. But the recent 'sales' efforts with the MC sale and now these is just a little cheeky considering the skills tree change could well be an uninstall and refund demand reason.

Oi! Some of us like the vindicator and can actually do well in one. But hey ho the more people that fall for the vindicator is rubbish belief the easier it is for me to kill them in one. And the more shocked faces I see as they underestimate the mech.

Really disappointed in hero king crab as well. Hardpoint selection - exactly mauler-2P which has better, symmetrical placement of torso hardpoints. This means even the tech jump wont save this Kaiju. Also, useless hand actuators - minus two crit slots, so hurtful for an IS assault, even more so - for an energy boat.

You can do 2xUAC5, 4xLPL, STD300, 12DHS in the King Crab, with basically max armor after endo/ferro. Hot but maybe not the worst thing ever. The high mounted ballistics are interesting, but yeah one in each side might have been better.

I still want to see a KGC-010 with geometry like the Zeus/Orion arm missile racks (energy hardpoint in the center of a bullet-shaped hard point, with the ring of missiles around the outside). Presumably 2B in each arm as well. That would be symmetrical and look cool.

I looked up the lore for the King Crab's pilot, and it sounds like he was a mercenary, not Kurita affiliated in any way. His family was Marik affiliated, if anything: http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Greenburg's_Godzillas
I think the web guy at PGI just assumed because of the Godzilla reference, he was Kurita.

Cause.. there's alot of problems with your description on there... Phelan "Ward" for example, from Sarna.net "In 3052, he won the Ward Bloodname during a Trial of Bloodright (with Star Captain Vlad as a challenger), which changed his name to Phelan Ward." That means he is NOT a "wolf Merc" he is a clan wolf blood named warrior I.E a Clan warrior...

"Phelan Kell and his Wolfhound, nicknamed "Grinner", were captured by the forces of Clan Wolf during Operation Revival. When Phelan was inducted into the Wolf Clan as a Warrior, Khan Ulric Kerensky ordered his 'Mech be upgraded using Clan technology."


You named him as a clan warrior, then muck up his mech and make it non clan. either he's Phelan KELL with a IS Wolfhound or he's Phelan WARD with a refitted wolfhound IIc.. get the facts straight please.

If the lightbar on the K9 works when you make a kill, along with a VERY loud warhorn that states "You are under arrest", then PGI better TAKE MY MONEY! I don't care if the lights and sound give my position away, or draws more aggro. It will be worth it!

Shame about the ENF, its a direct downgrade to the 4R. I can't see what the GHILLIE brings to the table. It doesn't have to do "better" or be OP, but its should do something unique. Shame, I really liked the ENF chassis when I was leveling them...

MASC on a Zeus? Now that is interesting, gotta compute a few builds, but as stated before, missile convergence will be an issue... Now, if they did a Zeus X with destructible heat fins granting a heat gen quirk that falls off if you take too much rear damage...
