So, AC barrels are tiny (as expected), and of course, the cockpit is on top... (BOO!)..... but am hoping it's just the angle... but looks a little wider than I had hoped, especially at the hips.

Still overall liking what I see, and looks like the ASN21s Missiles shoudl be pretty decently grouped.

you're not lying. IDK what it is..but if I have one criticism with PGI's mechs, it's that tendency toward childbearing hips, and massive thigh gap that would make Kate Moss green with envy.

Anyone or anything with hips makes Kate Moss green with envy...

Well, most pictures of it show the cockpit on top so...

later pictures, which totally contradict the lore description of a cramped, tiny cockpit so small it actually could cripple pilots over time. And it doesn't change the fact the upper "cockpit" looks stupid, and would have absolutely no visibility below it. Mechs are still driven first and foremost by basic sight. Lots of luck with that here.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about the chunkier legs combined with the thin slightly stubby arms. At least the nose portion isn't near as pronounced as I was worried about, looks less goofy at least.

yeah that actually has me pretty happy. I am a little disappointed the lowed missile rack is not in line with the higher one, but instead seems to make the mech wider, too.

Holy crappola this is like an order of magnitude different from the concept art. Has more in common with the Wolverine and Griffin torsos... very generic and same-y. Wish they hadn't ditched the forward nose, that was the unique cool thing about it.

Come to think of it, PGI never shared the blueprint for this one, did they?

It'd be nice if PGI took a more considered approach to hard point placement. It is oh so pivotal in a mech's performance. Both in how high and in whether it expands the size of the mech. They're already toying with the notion of inflating hard points to make mechs better. Perhaps they should reconsider placement on some mechs. I'm sure the Awesome would appreciate a little less sag in it's torso energy points. Or the Dragon's arm being raised higher as in some of the concept art.

well, in fairness, I guess the hips are a little wider on the concept art than I recalled
Posted Image
but the torso did get flattened. That's not all bad, as the concept art was a little too protruding, IMO (the TT version doesn't stick out like that), but it definitely looked much thinner in the art

Is it confirmed that the top thing is really the cockpit? Kinda hope it isn't as that'd be very silly(and lore contradictory).

Original Assassin Miniature... note the front.

Much more pronounced, with the top literally being useless to see anything around it.

Original box set art

Considering that's kinda how it was with the Griffin with that lower rack, I'm not too surprised.

Cockpit is in the front Bis, see that tiny, tiny window there? It easier to see it on the store page but there is a bit of cockpit and glass on the nose of the mech.

Looks pretty cramped to me! Posted Image

The problem area to me looks like the upper arm/shoulder, its freaking huge compared to the concept. Maybe its just the angle but it makes it look like a body builder instead of a slender, sleek mech.

Cockpit was confirmed to be the top portion when the concept art was originally done. Lore wise it is supposed to actually be that tiny window in the front (though it shouldn't have been that tiny).
