I picked up a few basic packs. I may upgrade later depending on what the loyalty rewards look like this year.

Fair warning to my fellow Canadians, $20 USD rings up at $28 CAD even though google says 26.64... I guess there is $1.36 processing fee?? Totally doesn't make sense as PGI pays employees in Canadian dollars.

GOOGLE shows you the actual exchange rate that is enjoyed by currency traders, large banks, governments, etc... the people moving MILLIONS and BILLIONS around. The exchange rate that individuals get is always a couple percent worse.

And then it's hilarious that PGI will convert that back to Canadian dollars (and in your words, lose money since they are not a bank or government) to pay their bills. Seems like regional pricing, at least for Canada, would make a lot of sense.

Merchants get better rates than individuals, again because larger amounts are being transacted. More importantly though is that the US dollar is the primary international trade currency, especially in computer software development. Anytime they have to pay a license fee to microsoft or cryengine or whoever else for example, they're going to likely be paying it in US dollars. All NHL player contracts are in USD in a similar way, even for canadian teams with players who live in Canada and may also be canadian citizens. There are also different rates for cash and non-cash transactions. If any of PGI's staff are non-canadians who only moved to vancouver for example to work for PGI, and came from other countries, they could very well have contracts stipulating their salary be made in US dollars. A lot of other software companies do business that way when they need to recruit talent from other countries.

Are any of these heroes going to have their names displayed in game instead of just the chassis name? The last two released heroes, the supernova and assassin, do not display in the hero name in-game. All other heroes released until now do. Is this a new trend or just an oversight (twice now) on a programmers part?

In addition to the question about the absence of recent hero names displayed in game, is it possible to buy the Annihilator ultimate pack and the Mad Cat IIC ultimate pack in order to qualify for the standing cockpit items? Would be nice to reward combined top tier purchases from a marketing standpoint without limits as currently in place. I know i would upgrade if it were an incentive.

Considering the Clan Heroes all had their names displayed (with was painful to memorize so many at once), there's hope it won;t be missed here...

it was missed with the supernova and again with the assassin. Only the chassis is shown ie. SNV-BR vs "Boiler" same thing for the ASN-DD.

Agreed. Been here since the very beginning. It is for the big picture and the hopes attached to it, that I keep opening my wallet and supporting the game like a whale year after year. Still, it would be nice for this recent pattern to be corrected.

Pre-ordered a Mad Cat Mk II basic and hero, to make sure I could claim the pre-order bonuses. Really hope to see some banked premium time added back - otherwise there's a possibility I will cancel.

A 20 ton package would be nice!
Say, Wasp, Stinger and Firemoth as a bundle.

Can be configured with up to 11x Energy if they give us the right pod variants. Basically a pocket BJ-1X. Should also be competent with a mix of SRM2 and lasers, maybe Heavy MGs.

It won't be a monster since it still runs slow for a Light, but it will certainly be entertaining.

So I was looking at the civil war page and considering adding/up grading some of my pre-orders and noticed something new...the payment processor, Xolla, is now asking for a tip from customers...WTF!!!!! Its already bad enough that they overcharge the exchange rate (compared to other sites like steam that are almost the same as bank rates) but now they want a tip too???
