I know its not a really a mech that's gotten a lot of discussion - but I'd love to see The Mackie as a "blast from the past." Its a classic mech, has a great bit of lore to it. And, even stock, its a pretty darn good mech.
I'd love to see the special/hero variant be all rusty, with holes, and just looks like a scrapheap save. And maybe another variant paint/skin that's all polished up nice?

I would buy a Flashman in a heartbeat especially since I think it would be about the most perfect IS mech you could get. You also forgot to add the Exterminator, another mech I would buy in a heartbeat.
As for the rest, I think I might pass. I have 222 mechs now and it is getting to the point where I can't decide which one to play anymore hehe. I really need to start cutting back.
However isn't the next mech due up a Clan mech?

Well, I thought about adding the Exterminator, but there are two problems with it. The first being that the mech has technology we don't have in the game yet, Null Sig. Also secondly, as far as what I read about the Exterminator, the mech became extinct around the Fourth Succession War.
Personally, I'd give money for a Hatamoto or a Charger (but mostly a Hatamoto) if it did come out since those are the two mechs, I have been fighting for.
As for Clan Mechs, we might get a Stone Rhino for HBS Battletech's Clan content. But since the Vulcan came out, it's possible that we will have a clan medium next month.
So that narrows it down to these choices:
Shadow Hawk IIC
Griffin IIC
Conjurer (Hellhound)
Mongrel (Grendel)
Phantom
Pouncer
Crimson Langur
Stooping Hawk
Vapor Eagle (Goshawk)

For the 55 tonners we have:
Prowler a Battlemech with 2 versions and is a Solaris VII mech however the second version uses a supercharger which isn't in game as well as ER Pulse Laser on the primary version. Construction Date 3068. Opinion: Not likely to be used as it isn't really good for Faction play or quick play and numerius tech not available.
Rabid Coyote a Battlemech has 2 versions built by Clan Coyote so PGI would have to invent a few versions but the original versions are a mix of energy and missiles and all tech is currently in game. Construction Date 3066. Opinion: Likely a good battlemech however due to the need to invent new versions and late construction date it is likely a pass at this time.
Stooping Hawk an Omnimech with 8 versions build by Clan Blood Spirit and has a mix of weapons types allowing for various builds. Construction date 2970. Opinion: While good in concept this mech would suffer for due to it having a locked Standard 275 engine won't be able make full use of heavier weapons. Also configuration G mounts Protomech autocannons which are not in game. So this mech would likely be low for clan 55 toners.
Vapor Eagle a Steel Viper Battlemech with 4 version that mixes Energy and Ballistics or Energy and Missiles all tech on all variants is currently in game. Construction date 2863. Opinion: This mech mixes weapons quite well and even the base version is quite similar role as the IS Vulcan which recently got introduced. With an Alex redesign of the art it could easily fit into mechwarrior online as well as Battletech(HBS) and Mechwarrior 5 when we see a clan expansion. This would be the best Choice for another 55 ton mech.
For the 50 ton Mechs we have:
Conjurer is for intent a Wolverine IIC battle mech but renamed as they didn't want a reminder of the unnamed clan. This mech doesn't mix weapons as much as other mechs favoring mostly energy builds or treating missiles as an afterthought. Construction date 2829. Opinion: This mech could be a great addition to finish out the IIC it would be lower on the priority as it doesn't really bring much to the field except for maybe slightly better mix than the Hunchback IIC.
Hellhound is Microsoft's redesign of the Conjurer, and due to its redesign and hardpoint locations and mix of weapons feels more like a different version of the prior name Conjurer thus warranting its own entry on the list. However the original Conjurer should make an appearance first.
Crimson Langur a Clan Blood Spirit Omnimech with 6 configurations. Uses both XL 350 engine and Endo with Standard armor, and 5 jump jets. This does mount mostly energy on its primary config while the other version due mix Energy and missiles/Ballistics. Construction date 3065. Opinion: a very good mech configuration for a clan ranger mech, but not good for a brawler. If they want to add mechs for BT and MW5 then this would be a slight skip.
Ursus is a clan Ghost Bear Battlemech with 4 versions. Uses a good mix of Energy and Missiles or Energy and Ballistics. construction date 3059. Opinion: A great mech concept, however due to some of the weapons in later version not being in MWO this mech would likely be a pass unless new version are invented by PGI.
For Clan 45 tonners:
Great Wyrm is a clan Mongoose Battlemech design based on the Dragon battlemech which has 2 version and 1 confirmed hero version. This mech's primary configuration has a mix of Energy, missiles and Ballistics. However, the second version uses weapon tech not currently in MWO. Construction Date 2844. Opinion: Not a very well thought out mech and pretty much would skip this however it might be of use for BT or MW5 clan dlc.
Mongrel (Grendel) is a clan Diamond Shark Omnimech with 8 configurations. Most versions use a mix of Energy and Missiles with a couple configs using Energy and a single Ballistic weapon and only the Config F having a weapon not in MWO. Construction Date 3053. Opinion would make a great early Invasion era mech designed to fight the Inner sphere and would be a less weapon starved version of the Shadowcat.
Pinion is a Clan Jade Falcon test bed battlemech with 3 configurations. All 3 configurations are pure energy builds.Construction date 3065. Opinion: a kind of slow medium mech with a top speed of 86 kph on a standard engine could make a good energy jumping medium mech for those looking for more laser vomit or PPC jumper in the medium class.
Shadow Hawk IIC is a strait clan upgrade of the IS Shadow Hawk with 9 versions. Out of the 9 versions 2 version mount weapons not in MWO and 3 more version mount Improved Jump jets which could be quirked in MWO to simulate but not actually mount as their twice as heavy. Most viable version mount Energy only or Energy and Missile hardpoints though a few ballistics versions could be added base on the IS mech. Construction Date 2831. Opinion would be a great addition to MWO as well as BT and MW5 clan DLC.
Stag is an Unnamed clan battlemech with 2 variations. Primary version is a mix of energy and missiles with the secondary being a ER PPC sniper. Construction date 2823. Opinion: As it being designed by a now dead clan it is not likely in production and all models likely dissemble by the other clans. Though being based on the Vulcan which recently came out begs the question would BT cover the clan war of 2823?
Wyvern IIC is a Clan Burrock Upgrade of the Star League Wyvern with 2 versions. Both version provide a mix of Energy, Missiles and Ballistic weapon hardpoints with the second version bringing the out of date primary config to modern 3071 tech and only mounting the ER Flamer and Machine gun Arrays as the only tech not in MWO. Construction Date 2843. Opinion: Likely a good mech but would likely require a player to spend more cash to bring it up to MWO fighting grade.
For 40 tonners:
Battle Cobra is a clan Steel Viper Omnimech with 7 configurations. Out of those configurations only 1 doesn't use tech in MWO but that versions weapons are just (Improved) version of the Heavy Medium laser which likely will be skipped over as the current Heavy Mediums don't have any sort of drawback like in TT. Most versions are primarily energy configs with a couple versions mixing energy and missiles and one config with Energy and a single Ballistic mount. Construction Date 2873. Opinion: Possible a great 40 ton mech that mixes fire power and speed it really comes down to the art and hit box for this mech.
Clint IIC is a revisited prototype battlemech made by clan Snow Raven based on the Star League Clint battlemech and comes in 2 versions. The primary config lacks weapons but has an LB 10x (not sure about the structure but does come with an XL engine and standard armor) the second version mounts 8 improved Jump jets and 5 medium pulse lasers and has an ECM in the head. Construction Date 2842. Opinion: Hardpoint starved on the primary version which would also need some upgrades to make it MWO fighting capable while the second version would have to get quirked to simulate the jump jets. PGI would also have to invent new version of this mech, however the Clint for the IS should be added first.
Corvis is only currently produced by Clan Hell Horse battlemech made in 2 variations and is the predecessor to the Stormcrow. Construction Date 2845. Opinion: As this mech is pretty much outdated version of the Stormcrow I would just skip it, not to mention would be the same size as a stormcrow which is 15 tons heavier.
Coyotl is a Clan Coyote omnimech with 2 configurations. These two configurations are energy with missile support. Construction Date 2854. Opinion: With both version being pretty much the same and the mech effectively being a jet with legs and arms it is a skip.
Griffin IIC is a Clan side grade of the old Griffin design which has 6 version available. Most versions of the mech run lasers and Missiles however version 5 mounting Light Machine Guns as well as Improved Jump Jets like version 6. Construction 2852. Opinion: While possible a good mech for MWO it would be a great mech for BT and MW5 clan DLC. As for the reason I said Side grade, is that Most IIC version stay the same weight or go up in weight this is the only IIC to actually decrease in weight by 10 tons reducing the effectiveness up the upgrade in equipment.
Lobo is a Clan Wolf battlemech with 3 versions available. The primary configuration is a mix of energy and missile hardpoints, however versions 2 and 3 use weapons not currently in MWO. Construction date 3059. Opinion: Due to the lack of DHS, MWO slow cooling heat sinks and 2 of the 3 version using weapons not in MWO this would be a skip.
Mercury II is an unnamed clan battlemech with 1 version. Construction Date 2823. Opinion: This mech's design seems to have influenced the design behind the Coyotl for Clan Coyote as they both share the same jet fighter with legs and arms design. Skip this mech.
Phantom is a Clan Wolf Omnimech with 8 configurations. This mech is designed for scouting and support with its Energy and Missile Hardpoints. Construction Date 3052. Opinion: This mech seems to be a faster and Lighter version of the Ice Ferret however different configs do allow it to be a more in close mech fighter but would lack the cooling necessary in MWO.
Pouncer is a Clan Wolf Omnimech with 8 configurations and 1 confirmed Hero. The mech is a 40 ton version of the Adder mounting mostly support weapon types and still maintaining a top speed of 97.2 kph. Only Configuration F mounts weapons not currently in MWO. Construction Date 3050. Opinion: This mech won't add much to MWO that isn't already there but would fill out the 40 ton clan bracket. For BT and MW5 DLC this could overshadow the Adder.
As this post is long I will create another post which is more condensed with all lights and mediums that would be best for the weight. Also will read over any comments people have on this and the post that cover lights that was posted a little over a week ago, and see if anyone see anything I may have missed in post this.

Actually the Null Signature System used by the Exterminator is technically just Stealth Armor which we currently have in game or rather I should say that Stealth Armor is the re-discovery of the Null Signature System that was used during the days of the Star League. There are even quite a few lore variants available without the Stealth Armor option that only use weapons systems currently available in the game. Overall I think it is an excellent choice for an IS Heavy Mech.
As to the Clan mechs, if they go with a medium, of the ones you list I think I would only be interested in probably be the Vapor Eagle followed by the Grendel or maybe the Shadow Hawk IIC. The rest probably wouldn't coerce me to open my wallet.
As to what we are actually going to get, my money is still on the Warhammer IIC simply because it is one of only a few mechs left that will actually get a ton of people to open their wallet. Also with only the Gargoyle available at 80 tons, it would fit in very well.
As for lights, I would love to get my hands on a Vixen as long as the model is made fairly accurate to the TRO art. I would buy a Vixen (Incubus) just because it looks cool even if it sucked in game.

You're right man, thank you. I had to look it up & read about it. So far I can see PGI replacing the Exterminator 4C with Stealth Armor and give it ECM to help with it.
