False, as the B variant has 3 LRM15s in each arm and 1 ER ML in each side torso. As the B config, it is very likely to be included.

Indeed. And given its rather large range of arm pod options, and the extra free crit space over the Gyr, you have an extremely flexible and extremely capable energy or missile platform, that can also dakka fairly well. Not as good in ballistic builds as the Gyr, due the number and placement of mounts, and not quite as good a poptart in the sense of having to invest 4 tons into thrusters via omnipod mounts - but perhaps will get more height being slightly lighter with its 34 tons of JJ added remaining space. However, from a missile or energy based approach, it would be the superior option. Probably a better hybrid mech over the Gyr, as well.

Nova Cat is gonna be a flexible beasty.

Actually it should be able to do the UAC10 (LA) + 3 UAC5 (RA) build, just without JJs though.

Yeah, but it wouldn't be able to boat 5+ AC like the Gyr could. Let alone in addition to Jump jets.

I'd expect to see 2x ERPPC 1x Gauss poptarts, however. 24 tons, plus 3 tons ammo, 4 jj, puts it at 31 tons, with 7 tons of additional DHS (or 6 extra DHS and a TCMK1).

Yeah, I mean I think it can actually do Dual Gauss 1 ER PPC (all in arms, much like the Dragoon) with 2-4 JJs, but that's just more of the same which is why I hadn't mentioned it yet.

Alright folks, last time the poll helped determine what mechs went in to the Civil War pack, so I put together another poll for next time!

Obviously I may have missed a favorite, so please mention it here, and like posts of people saying to add certain mechs so I know that that is a popular opinion! I will try to stay on top of editing the poll.

Also... if you all think it would be better to have more than one choice, I could change the poll to essentially be a "Vote for everything you want, don't vote for what you could live without" type poll... if feed back likes that I will change it.

Poll is here: https://mwomercs.com...mech-pack-poll/

UPDATE:

Significant additions have been made to the poll! Even if you already made your selection, please view the poll again to make sure there are no mechs that were added later!

Additionally, we have dev comments below indicating that a poll like this will aid in the selection of the next mechs! That doesn't mean that the winners are automatically selected by the poll, but the poll definitely helps PGI see what mechs are desired by us, so make sure to vote!

Can you add a choice to the poll for:

"I don't want nor care about mechpacks, I'd rather the developers create..."
a. A Battlefield Style gamemode with tickets, respawns and base capture (like MWLL)
b. An extensive map collection
c. Ability to host custom servers and hold independent 1v1 games like Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Please?

I feel the "I don't want to buy another mechpack" crowd is underrepresented.

:)

Eh, Snuggles put the time in to make the video, if someone were to make a different video advocating different mechs that would be fair game too... It primarily just served as an advertisement for the poll, I'm not really surprised by any of the evident popularity... aside from the Hollander, which I'm not so much surprised, as just disappointed.

Good.

Mechpacks are coming regardless of what you want, and this topic/poll is for those who care what mechs end up being added to the game.

So the Hollander... can anybody explain to me why we would want this mech?

Light Mech - So already has the deck stacked against it
35 ton - The worst of the worst weight class
86.4 km/hr - slow for a light or does it have a higher engine gap than sarna shows? (guess it doesn't matter if ya want to but guass on it).
limited hard-points...

Especially when it is essentially already in-game...

I haven't seen it come up which indicates it probably wasn't on everyone's minds, but I will add it.

Nice - 300 max damage from the Gauss only version; I would be tempted to report players for helping the opposition.

Yeah that's the stock ammo, one could upgrade to an XL and drop Ferro and.. maybe add a little bit of ammo, I guess?

You shouldn't have to drop ferro, I think your best bet is something like an XL 200 with max armor except on the arms (3 one one, 4 on the other), and 3 tons of ammo. You could also strip all armor from the arms, strip the head down to 7, drop down to an XL195, and throw in another ton of ammo if need be.

Well I don't care, thus, declare it is an incomplete poll, thus, the results are not representative of the community as a whole.

Right because you get another engine heatsink to fit the 4th ton of ammo.

Still, 600 damage if you don't miss once... meh.

You can go through and mark "No Opinion" for each category.

It's a 35 ton Hunchback / Shadow Hawk / Marauder - SHULDUR GUNZ R KEWLZ!

I like, big, guns and I cannot lie,
You other jockeys can't deny,
When a Light walks in,
With an itty bitty waist,
And a can-non in your face,
You get scured!

(Yes, I know that should be an A, this is just funnier)

So, I don't see the Jupiter happening (Jihad era 'Mech).

The Grendel's proper name is the Mongrel

http://www.masteruni...s/247/civil-war

This is the Cannon List of available unit for the Civil War timeframe

I would like to see Comstar and WoB be their own Factions

Bane-
You want to Boat 10 LB-2-Xs? YES! (14!!! Ballistic Hardpoints on the 1)
You want to Boat UAC-10s? CAN DO!! (8 Ballistic Hardpoints on the 2)
You want to Boat Missles? AB-SO-LUTLY!!! (9 Missile Hardpoints on the 3= ATM6's for Days!)
You want to be a Badass Brawler? HAIL TO THE KING, BABY!!! (2 UAC20s, 3 ATM6s, 1 ERLL on the 4, stock)

You want Experimental Tech? The XR has what you need: Endo-Composite internals, Laser HS, CASE II, Laser Reflective Armor, 4 Clan RAC2s, Streak LRM 10s, and the old standby- an ERLL to round it out...

Now, I know everyone wants the Bloodasp, and I don't blame any of you... the problem is the Lore... it is a Homeworld only Clan OmniMech, Never seen in the I.S. to my knowledge...
