The Crusader's already in, I made sure of that earlier in this thread, although I didn't include the Stinger/Wasp/Valkyrie.

I did forget about the other IIC versions of the Phoenix mechs though.

Crusader's on the list and winning. But no doubt that Wasp and/or Stinger would be winning IS Lights if it was included considering CK's poll. And I'd bet Valkyrie would be winning over most of the other options as well.

ETA: Never mind, I see those three are in now! Posted Image Would've been good to have them at the start ofc.

Which is truly shame... People complain "Clams OP" then vote for garbage PoS mechs that they like from the old days, then complain about how IS mechs are bad and "Clams OP" again. Its insanity, literally.

Personally I'm really hoping that the look at how close the Thanatos and Crusader are and just go for the Thanatos since its newer and more interesting.

The forgotten 75 ton Bandersnatch is better than the Avatar and Thanatos or any other 3060 IS Heavy.

ECM, Hero, standard loadout of 2x LB-10X (arms), 6x Medium Lasers, 3xLRM5 makes it the most adaptable heavy. If it's like the main picture on Sarna it has fairly high arms, low cockpit, and although it is wide the components are all narrow so it would be a normal target size for a heavy.

Honestly the only reason we never saw the Bandersnatch was that it was too good for MWO's balance.

Those arms aren't any higher than something like the Grasshoppers......and just because it has plentiful hardpoints doesn't mean it would be good.....

It also lacks JJs which is something the Thanny has over it.

Some people never learn... Still when I pick "Crap" mechs, I go into it knowing full well they will be at best average...

On that note, the Coyotl is up to 25 votes now! Maybe she isn't as obscure as I though she was....

Not really any more obscure than the Coyotl (which is extinct).

Yeah, its just some of these mechs people are asking me to add I already know they aren't going to come close to winning. Oh well, as long as I see the request I guess.

FTFY

On a TT game play side note, only reason the Coyotl got shelved was due to the supplement it was released in... they needed a reason for the Clans not to be using it over the Vipe come 3050. In actual practice in TT the Coyotl usually kills the Viper....

Can you really be sure those are the same people? And people want what they want. *shrug* You're talking about iconic mechs in the Battletech lore and game for over 20 years.

Newer isn't always better, and more interesting? Does the Thanatos even have much lore penetration at all?

Older isn't always better, and more interesting.....I also wouldn't call the Wasp/Valkyrie iconic, memorable to the 3025 crowd sure, but iconic? Naw.

Thanatos has MW4 presence for sure, but its a 75 tonner with ECM and JJs. Its hardpoints aren't exactly ideal and neither is its geometry, but I have theory crafted a few things that would be useful.

Yeah I mean, most of the books I read didn't have Stinger/Wasps in them and they never had a big presence from MW2-MW4 so they do nothing for me. I also find it funny that they are iconic BattleTech mechs but aren't even BattleTech designs. We already know the player base clamors for them from the last poll, whether or not PGI releases them is up for debate. So anyway, I put them in, didn't put them in originally because they add nothing to the game in terms of worthwhile new capability, but they are there now. If you REALLY want them you can campaign for them and broadcast that they have been added.

I'd really love it if the next pack had the Stinger, Wasp, Nova Cat, Blood Asp in it, just as a caricature of what the IS/Clan player bases want. Wouldn't that be just great everybody??

It's nice but it isn't quite perfect, it is an up-tonned Firebrand with a higher cockpit.

Hey at least we can lose, fair and square, then. Not being represented, well, you never can be the underdog! We will never get the Crossbow.... I know that. (Well, I do have some photos I could forward.... ) But still wan't it to lose fairly.
