With the Civil War Escalation mechs announced, I found it appropriate to remove them from the poll! Please adjust votes accordingly if necessary!

For IS I guess the Thug would be popular for an assault. For light let's get the Nexus on there. Those two are good replacements for the IS mechs.

My most desired mechs now are:
- Nexus
- Lynx
- Men shen
- Raijin
- Dragonfire
- Toyama
- Falconer
- Anvil
- Viking
- Fafnir
- Cerberus
- Thunder Hawk
- Templar
- Gunslinger

What about the Thresher?

Battlemech, 60 tons. High mounted weapons. JJ capable, MASC capable.

THR-1 and 2 has 1B2M3E, but the 1 focuses on ballistics while the 2 focuses on energy. So, possible inflation?

THR-1: 2B2M3E.
THR-2: 1B2M4E.
THR-3: 1B4M2E because inventing variants, and this would be more missile based.

I've said the Hellfire was a strong contender a long time ago. And yet the OP has yet to add it to the list.

I think it's because all the space was used up.

How about the Black Python? Now that the Nova Cat has been announced it's probably the strongest clan heavy option by a mile.

But it isn't 60 tons. I'd love to fill out every weight point with at least two options, ya know?

Darn you Pariah, if the Thresher gets in then I will have to buy it because Hell's Horses had a hand in designing it.

Well, one 60 tonner I haven't seen many people talking about is the Predator. 60 tonner, 2B 4E, made by a clan who hasn't contributed any mechs to MWO yet(Fire Mandrill), even has high mounts for the ballistics. The only issues I see with it are a lack of variants(Thats never stopped PGI before) and the extremely low mounted cockpit(which could be moved up).

I don't have particularly strong opinions regarding what new mechs we get down the road, but I'd really like to see Crusaders on the battlefield, and Crossbows would be nice. I think the Crossbow's a missile-heavy chassis, too, which would compliment the Advanced Tactical Missile system the Clans are getting next month. . .assuming the system's any good, of course.

Good option. Certainly would be a more competitive choice vs many of the other 60-ton options we have. Close second and third probably being a hardpoint inflated Glass Spider and the Thresher. The later of which just has so many mod options between JJ and MASC.

That cockpit, though. Probably would get bumped up, but even so would still likely be fairly low. Like a Stormcrow, probably.

Kind of hard to do, as she was a one-off prototype, just like the Super Wasp... still I'm not opposed to them, but I just don;t want PGI to go and make up all the varaints, like they did with the Mauler.

I think it's 10 questions, 20 answers each, so there should be plenty of room in the Clan Heavy category.

No more mechs for awhile. I vote for actual content and gameplay to be developed.

What, like the future tech that is coming around the corner? Or the comp mode they just introduced? Or the recent additional game modes (as questionable as they might be)?

Tech that is, by the way, not made by the same developers in the team that do mechs?

Want PGI to fire their mech designers and animators? Because that is all they do. They make mechs. Those developers making mechs don't take away from developers making new tech or maps. However, if they stopped making mechs, and PGI stopped selling packs, nobody would get any maps, tech, or mechs because PGI would have to close down.

Think about that for a second.

Yeah, while I get the whole "Wanna buy a mech pack?" joke, that's what keeps the servers spinning.

And as Pariah says above, those Mechs are made by artists and animators who just do that. They're not designers coders, etc, so having them not make Mechs doesn't make other things happen faster.

Asking for no new mechpacks is asking for MWO to shut down.

Not to mention: every time someone says something like the Medicine Man said above, there's always the unspoken "well, content that I want." behind it. "sure, PGI has added all these other things, but I don't care about that!"

Now, one can argue they do a bad job of adding new content (unnecessarily large number of skill nodes, poorly designed game modes, etc) but that's a wholly different thing. Fewer mechpacks won't make those things better.
