Why?

That's kind of bothersome to me.. I guess there is no room in this world of Mad Cat Mk. IIs and Blood Asps for the Falcons to get their own assault mech..

Sarna says it's a Smoke Jaguar mech. Sure, the Falcons used it, as did the Bears and Wolves, but it's a Smoke Jag design.

Thats like saying the Kodiak isnt a ghost bear mech because other clans use Kodiaks (which they do)

some clans just didnt design their own mechs.

No, it's more like saying that the Kodiak is not a Snow Raven mech. Snow Ravens used it, but it's a Ghost Bear design (it's even their totem).

Wait what? That example is completely wrong. The Ghost Bears designed and produced the Kodiak. The Jade Falcons did NOT design or produce the Warhawk.

And they did design their own mechs. The Turkina is a CJF designed and produced Assault mech, for instance.

The only Jade Falcon assault I know off the top of my head is the Turkina. Designed and deployed by the Jade Falcon clan.

The Warhawk was designed by CSJ, but became Clan General during the invasion... Just like the Timber Wolf, a Clan Wolf design, only built by the Wolves but sold or looted by everyone else.... Were things get funny is the Dire Wolf, designed by Clan Wolf, plans lost to CSJ, built by CSJ.

So what other assault mechs do the jade falcons produce besides the Turkina? I've always thought Jade Falcon was known for their Summoners and Night Gyrs, which are both clan heavies that we already have in game. While I think the Turkina is a decent mech, I think PGI should focus on adding more clan general battlemechs like the Warhammer IIC while taking a break from that weight bracket for a bit.

So to be considered affiliated with ones house, a mech must be internally designed AND manufactured there.

If so then going back to my joke above, the Dragon is not an "FRR mech" since they merely produced it but didn't design it.

if their options (outside the basic omnis) didn't all suck, maybe I'd be more inclined to be worried about it.
